Brande Roderick is taking her financial struggles into her own hands.

The Baywatch star – much like some of her peers such as Denise Richards, Drea de Matteo, Carol Alt and her fellow Baywatch costar Carmen Electra – has turned to OnlyFans as a means to make money. Brande has spoken candidly about how the subscription service site has been a “wonderful outlet” for her, especially as a single mother with two children.

She said it has given her the opportunity to also follow her other passions. “It’s been great honestly,” Brande said in a new interview. “Me being a single mom of two boys with no financial support from their father, I have to take care of my family. And for me, my passion and love is acting and producing. So, in order for me to do that, I have, you know, my side job with OnlyFans, which helps to facilitate my other passion of acting and producing. So, for me, it’s been really a wonderful outlet.”

Brande went on to say that her content is “basically” what she did when she modeled for Playboy. She did say one difference from her Playboy days is that she doesn’t “show any nudity down below” but she still works to make the photos “very artistic and very beautiful and very meaningful.”

The 50-year-old highlighted to Fox News Digital one benefit to OnlyFans which she said was “you’re your own editor.” Brande explained: “You only put out there the images that you love and that you want, you know, the world to see. Whereas when you were doing Playboy, you really had no control over it. So, it’s like I’m my own Hugh Hefner, I guess.”

In the beginning, Brande wasn’t certain she wanted to join the website but she did her research and now she loves OnlyFans: “I love being a part of OnlyFans, because I shoot when I want to shoot. I have creative control of doing whatever I want to do,” she said.

The mother-of-two also commended her fans for their respect and consideration. She added that she has not had any “strange requests” that she could share with the outlet but “everybody is super respectful and kind. My Playboy fans are just, honestly, really sweet, kind people. I don’t really have anyone that asks for anything crazy.”

Brande played Leigh Dryer on Baywatch from 2000 to 2001 and in the TV movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. She called the experience “one of the best times” of her life to the outlet as she filmed in “magical” Hawaii. She also said the cast felt like a “little family.” While the experience was a good one, she said that the Hulu documentary After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun showed the private hardships that were also had among the cast.

Brande has also gone to do work in films such as Starsky and Hutch and Bollywood flick Out of Control, as well reality TV appearances with Celebrity Apprentice and Gameshow Marathon. During her time with Playboy, she was picked as Playmate of the Month in April 2000 and became Playmate of the Year in 2001. In her personal life she dated the late late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner for a year in 2000. She was married to former NFL player Glenn Cadrez until they divorced in 2017. Brande shares her two boys with him.
