The Gold Coast mayor has stepped in and urged schoolies leavers not to risk their reputation and future careers by participating in online content with controversial OnlyFans model Bonnie Blue, who recently announced plans to “pleasure” as many vacationing “barely-legal 18-year-olds” as she can during the end of year celebrations.
Blue garnered national headlines last week after offering her services to the raft of young men who are set to flock to the city after completing their HSC exams. Describing “barely-legal” pornography as “lucrative” in the industry, the sex worker and online personality has drawn criticism from people around the country, particularly from concerned parents who blasted the offer, branding it as “predatory”.
Alongside other successful Australian OnlyFans creator Annie Knight, the duo posted to social media encouraging young men to reach out after touching down in the Gold Coast. “Bonnie Blue and I are going to be pleasuring some barely-legal 18-year-olds and we are so excited,” Knight said on TikTok. “Meet us there, we can’t wait.”
In the fallout, Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate has encouraged young men to consider their actions carefully, as “they don’t know in 20 years” where they may be.
“These cougars [are trying to] get on to young men who are vulnerable, their adrenaline is pumping — and we were all young once — and enticing them to make mistakes that will be on the internet forever,” he told the media.
“At the moment they don’t understand that, they don’t know in 20 years when they are going to stand up to be a justice of the Supreme Court that they have got this digital video when they were 18 hanging around. I say to the young guys, if it looks too good to be true, don’t touch it.”
Bonnie Blue hits back at ‘predator’ allegations
Blue made headlines this time in 2023 for the same reason, with a number of her fellow OnlyFans models similarly announcing plans back then to capitalise on the flocking schoolies crowd. Blue argues all her collaborators are legal, defending her stance on various media platforms.
“I understand people may not agree with the content I make, however that doesn’t make me a predator or my behaviour predatory,” Blue recently told media.
“Those middle-aged women who are giving me the hate should be thanking me. I’m educating the younger generation on safe sex, consent and allowing them to understand their bodies and those they’re sleeping with.”
Ex police officer and child safety expert Kristi McVee posted online warning fellow parents about Blue’s plans. “Just a PSA for any parents whose year 12 school leavers are going to be in the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast over the school leavers period for schoolies,” she said on TikTok.
“Basically there is a content creator on this app who is an OF content creator, I’m not going to say her name because I do not want to give her any attention because that’s what she’s looking for.
“Who has basically decided that she wants school leavers, male school leavers ‘barely-legal’, her words, to go and create content with her and be on her OF account so that she can make lots of money because she is a highly successful OF creator. She states that teen content is lucrative and she wants to exploit these [teens].”
The mum branded Blue “way out of line” and said “if the shoe was on the other foot and this was a male content creator with females we’d all be jumping up in arms.”
