A married couple in their 50s have been able to “take breaks” from work and travel around Australia without touching a penny of their retirement savings, thanks to some help from income earned online — including X-rated content for OnlyFans.
Trish, 57, and Iain, 58, are travelling from the most easterly point of mainland Australia in Byron Bay to Steep Point in Western Australia, and told Yahoo News they decided to create the content to help fund their adventures.
“Most of the stuff we post is artistic nudes. Occasionally, we do pop something in a little more erotic,” Trish said, explaining she is usually the model while her photographer husband is behind the camera.
The pair immigrated to Australia in 1997 from South Africa and have been involved in the nude art scene since the early 2000s. Getting involved in OnlyFans felt like a natural next step for them while they travel around the country in their Unimog truck.
“Iain is an engineer so we travel in between his contract jobs. During our last trip, our YouTube really took off… so we’re trying to get that going again and also do the OnlyFans,” she said. “It does contribute towards the travel and stops our retirement going backwards when we’re not at home… we can travel without touching our savings.”
Couple fit OnlyFans content into Aussie adventures
The couple are currently travelling through the Simpson Desert in the red centre of the country and explained they simply document their adventures and take pitstops to create content.
This week, the couple came across an “artesian bath” fashioned out of a feeding trough by a station owner to offer refuge to travellers passing by and they took the opportunity to create content. They can then upload the content online where their OnlyFans subscribers, or 21.5k YouTube followers, can access it.
“The round feeding trough was hooked up to an artisan well. You just turn on the tap and the water pours out… it was hot,” Trish said.
Although their family and four adult children know about their OnlyFans account, they like to keep things relatively low-key and try to prevent it from impeding their trip overall.
“We tend to have an idea of where we’re going and then we see what we can find along the way,” Trish said. “We’ve done a lot of travel.”
