She pleaded guilty to criminal damage, two counts of assault on police and one count of resisting police at Newtownards Magistrates Court last month.

Sian Maxwell (20), from Newtownards, Co Down, also hit her head off the inside of a police car a number of times during the “violent” incident over the summer.

She pleaded guilty to criminal damage, two counts of assault on police and one count of resisting police at Newtownards Magistrates Court last month.

The court heard how cops had been called to Maxwell’s home address to reports of a row between Maxwell and her partner at around 6am on July 12.

A prosecutor said: “The defendant was removed from the property before becoming violent, spitting in the vehicle and headbutting the interior of the rear car door.

“She also spat blood at a constable while he was driving.”

Maxwell’s defence counsel said that the mum-of-one made the phone call to police “due to the situation she was in”.

“She was emotionally overcharged and thankfully the relationship is now over,” they added.

Addressing Maxwell, District Judge Mark Hamill said her behaviour towards police officers was “disgraceful”.

“I’m imposing a suspended sentence but it is up to you to stay out of trouble. If the relationship is over, then I suspect that helps but I also suspect that alcohol is an issue here.”

The court heard officers were forced to execute an arrest warrant to bring Maxwell to the courtroom on the morning of the hearing.

She was handed a four-month prison term suspended for two years.

It’s the second time this year Maxwell has dodged jail. She appeared before Laganside Magistrates Court in Belfast in April after being caught with a “large volume” of drugs including cocaine, ketamine and ecstasy, where she was handed a conditional discharge.

The 20-year-old had earlier entered guilty pleas to two counts of possessing Class A drugs and a further count of possessing Class B drugs.

She was also initially charged with possession of ammunition but this was later withdrawn.

Maxwell stood in the dock of Laganside Magistrates Court on Wednesday as a Public Prosecution Service lawyer told the court police were called to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in south Belfast on October 22, 2022, following a report by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

“This defendant had booked into a room with a male co-accused and they had been spending time together,” the solicitor said.

Adding: “She was searched and they found a bag of white powder and a number of tablets, the total value of the drugs was estimated at between £500 and £1,000.”

Outlining his client’s case, Maxwell’s solicitor said she had fallen in with the wrong crowd but had since cleaned up her act.

He said: “Her co-accused has gone back to Donegal but has a significant criminal history, her and him and some friends spent a significant amount of time in the room and she has ended up in possession of the drugs.

“There were more drugs in the room but she was cleared of any involvement with those, thankfully.

“She had fallen in with this crowd and has since got herself back on track.”

The court heard the convictions are a breach of an existing probation order against Maxwell and District Judge Steven Keown outlined the consequences for her if she steps out of line again.

He said: “This was a large volume of drugs, I would strongly advise you to re-engage with probation otherwise it could have serious implications for you and your child.”

Maxwell has a number of social media profiles across X, Facebook and Instagram, some of which she has used to flaunt her online content.

On her racy social media pages, Maxwell advertises her online content with her X, formerly Twitter, account telling followers: “Telegram me for filth… Horny, tattooed blonde. Come see what ur missing out on..FULLY EXPLICIT CONTENT,” followed by ‘18 plus’.
