YouTuber Zara Dar clarified misinformation about her identity, addressed deepfake issues, and explained her shift from engineering studies to focus on OnlyFans for financial freedom and creative exploration.

YouTuber Zara Dar, who gained sudden fame after announcing her decision to leave her studies to become an adult content creator on OnlyFans, has issued a clarification addressing several rumors circulating about her. The misinformation, which spread widely on social media, included claims that Zara is of Pakistani origin, a claim she strongly denied.

Zara’s life took a dramatic turn when she discovered she had fallen victim to a deepfake. This began when someone attempted to blackmail her by threatening to reveal personal details and family photos. Zara soon realized that her images had been manipulated and misused. To address the situation, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to warn her followers about the unauthorized use of her pictures and name. In her final tweet, she mentioned, “Shortly after I went viral, someone created a meme coin after my name and used my photo as their profile picture on X,” making it clear that she was not connected to the venture in any way.

Another rumor Zara debunked was about her nationality. She clarified that her full name is “Darcy,” which she shortens to “Dar,” and this has caused confusion with a Pakistani beauty influencer with the same name. She wrote, “With all due respect, I am not Pakistani. I am American, born and raised, with a mixed background: American, Persian, Southern European, Middle Eastern, and Indian.”

Zara also addressed the unauthorized deepfakes and products linked to her name, denying any involvement. She explained that while she is quitting her PhD studies in engineering, she plans to continue sharing educational content about the subject on her YouTube channel.

Zara’s decision to leave her doctorate shocked many. In a video, she explained that focusing on OnlyFans full-time was not only more financially rewarding but also allowed her to break free from the constraints of academia. This move, she said, has given her the freedom to explore and share new content.
