She played netball and liked SpongeBob like basically everyone, everywhere

Today, the nation knows Lily Phillips as “that OnlyFans girl who slept with a hundred men in one day and cried about it on YouTube”. But before her sudden rise to fame and riches, she had a surprisingly averagey life. Here’s a deep dive into what Lily Phillips’s life was like before she got famous on OnlyFans.

Lily Phillips’s childhood was boujie but quite bland

Her real name is Lilian. She was born on 23rd July, 2001. This makes her a Leo and it shows. She lived with her brother and her parents in a semi-detached four-bedroom house in a village called Denby in Derbyshire. Her dad Lindsay ran a cleaning company and her mum Emma was a real estate agent.

Lily Phillips told the MailOnline, “I didn’t get into OnlyFans because I was desperate for money. My parents loved to spoil us, I had a very comfortable, happy life. It was the picture-perfect childhood and I had amazing parents.” She loved SpongeBob Square Pants and played netball at school, like 99 per cent of girlies who grew up in the UK in the 2o10s.

Her parents sent her brother to private school, but Lily went to the local state school, John Flamsteed Community School. She got five GCSEs  Someone who went to school with her told the Daily Mail, “Lily had a lovely, comfortable life and was a great girl and some of us were very envious of her. She was good fun, had lots of friends, and didn’t have any money worries because her parents were rich.”

So, her childhood sounds extremely nice but very uneventful.

She was so fed up with Zoom uni lectures that she joined OnlyFans

Lily studied an foundation year in business then an undergrad degree in nutrition at the University of Sheffield. This was during the middle of the pandemic, so most of her degree was taught online.

She said on a podcast epiosde by RTM Records, “I was trying to log onto a Zoom lecture because it was Covid-y times, and couldn’t log on so I thought: ‘F*ck it, I’m going to do OnlyFans.’”

Lily added, “I’d been thinking about it for a while and I’d been promiscuous anyway, so I was like, ‘Yeah, why not do it?’ And to be honest, I didn’t think I was going to make money off it, this was like four, five years ago now so it wasn’t what it is today. I just thought: ‘You know I might just be able to get a round of drinks in at university’. I didn’t think it was going to become all this.

“I was a bit of a sl*t at university, and I thought why not try and profit off that a little bit?”

She wasn’t really famous until the end of 2024

Because of her OnlyFans side hustle, Lily Phillips got away with never having to get a real grown-up job. But before Lily Phillips became social media, you wouldn’t really be able to guess what she did for work just from her social media.

She was clearly making a fair bit of money, though, because she went on lots of vibey trips. Lily went to Spain, Mykonos, and on a group skiing trip with her friends. She has a cute dog.

When Lily Phillips was in her early 20s and was trying to get famous, she made a lot more TikToks with clothes on about dating and relationships. Some of them almost count as PG-13? Her OnlyFans content sort of escalated from being awkward and partially clothed to the infamous 100 men in a day challenge.
