From being deported from Fiji to being banned from Australia following a viral petition, OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue has repeatedly drawn widespread criticism.
The 25-year-old was initially condemned for posting call-outs for ‘barely legal’ teens (or ‘schoolies’) to sleep with her, setting herself up in student-heavy areas during freshers’ weeks across the UK.
Last week, her name hit the headlines once again as a shocking photo revealed the aftermath of a challenge in which she claimed to have slept with 1,057 men in a day, writing in an Instagram caption: ‘Over 1,000 men in a day! Thank you to all the barely legal, barely breathing and the husbands.’
In an exclusive interview with Metro, Bonnie previously rejected claims that she was a ‘predator’, stating: ‘Yes, I put videos out there to say, hey, this is where I’m going to be, come and get me on my knees, but that’s their choice. If they then come, I’m not forcing them.’
But, controversies aside, what does Bonnie Blue’s private life look like? What inspired her to join OnlyFans, and what is her relationship with her now ex-husband like?
Was Bonnie Blue married?
Before she started OnlyFans, Bonnie Blue was married to her long-term partner, having revealed on the Saving Grace podcast that the pair met when they were 13 and were together for 10 years. Eventually, they ‘grew apart’ and ended up breaking up in 2023.
‘We’re on really good terms. He works for me now. He helps with some behind-the-scenes stuff. It is convenient. It’s handy for me,’ she added.
‘He’s going to get some of the money regardless. He might as well work for it. This job benefits everyone in my family, including him.’
Bonnie started producing OnlyFans content when she was still married – and her then-husband was instantly supportive of her decision as her wanted her to be happy, knowing that she was incredibly stressed in her previous role.
‘He could say, okay I’m basically going to be putting her back in that environment if I say to her no, you need to go and do an office job,’ Bonnie previously told the Getting There podcast last month.
Of their relationship at the time, she added: ‘we were happy…I guess not completely, overly happy, but I was more than content. It was nothing to do with the relationship, it was more, you know, I was in a relationship, got a house, I was married, and I was like okay, well what’s next?’
‘If I carry on how I am, I’m going to get to an age where I’m like, what have I done in my life that I’m super proud of…I was just going to have done a life, retired, gone on a few holidays and that was it. And I thought, I don’t want to get old and think, that was life.’
When did Bonnie Blue join OnlyFans?
As such, Bonnie’s decision to join OnlyFans stemmed from the fact that she wasn’t feeling happy with the direction her life was going in – and wanted a new challenge.
‘I just went through the emotions in life. I wasn’t depressed, but I wasn’t necessarily happy, and I was always chasing the next thing,’ Bonnie revealed on the Getting There podcast.
When she finished school, she started working in recruitment – which she found ‘quite stressful but recognised that she needed a job to pay the bills.
Once she realised it wasn’t for her, she moved to Australia to live a ‘beach lifestyle,’ and ended up not working for two years. She used her savings to support herself financially, having sold her house in the UK and put money aside before leaving to fund herself.
However, she realised that she didn’t want her two years off to be the only ‘highlight’ of her life – which is when she first started seriously considering OnlyFans.
Scrolling on TikTok, she kept encountering content about online camming which noted that it was possible to do it from home, with flexible hours, and that you could choose whether you appeared naked or not.
And, since her husband was ready to support her, she decided to try it out – and made $AUD 1000 on her first day (£508.32). At the time, Bonnie notes that she ‘didn’t know what she was doing’ as she’d only ever slept with five people.
Are Bonnie Blue’s parents supportive of her?
Bonnie’s parents are highly supportive of her work – and her mum has even helped her to clean up after particularly intense sessions.
Speaking on The Reality Check podcast, Bonnie’s mum said that the experience was ‘messy’ and that there were ‘hundreds and condoms and boxer shorts and stained, wet bedsheets’ all over the place.
When Bonnie first started doing OnlyFans, her mum originally had an ‘emotional response’ to it, but she subsequently came around to it. Now, she’s ‘proud of her’ and ‘doesn’t mind.’
Originally, Bonnie didn’t tell her parents about her work – but was forced to when a video of hers got leaked, which her mum was initially ‘gutted’ about.
She was always going to tell them, she added, but since she’d only just started, she ‘wasn’t ready to explain why she chose to do it’ – and so it was her sister who told her parents about her line of work.
Now, she often takes her family on expensive holidays and showers them with gifts – and because ‘she’s [Bonnie] happy,’ Bonnie’s mum is also happy.
