A Scots woman who became a household face in one fo the most bizarre stories of last year has revealed she is snubbing pleas from fans to set up her own OnlyFans account. Kirsty Paterson is better known as the glum-looking Oompa Loompa at the infamous ‘Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience’ event that left children in tears in Glasgow last year.

The 30-year-old became the defining image of the event, which was such a disaster that police were called as furious parents demanded a refund. Ms Paterson has told how she has been inundated with requests to pose nude on the porn site wearing nothing but her Oompa Loompa wig.

But she insists it is “not something I’m keen to pursue”. Speaking to the Daily Record, she said: “I’ve been sent so many hand drawn pictures of me as an erotic anime figure and I’ve had loads of requests to join OnlyFans.

“People like the idea of me being naked apart from my green wig and I’ve had offers from some who want to draw me live, as well as play with chocolate online. Others have foot fetishes and want me to march around like an Oompa Loompa. It’s funny but it’s not something I’m keen to pursue.”

Ms Paterson, who is from Bearsden in East Dunbartonshire, said the past 12 months since the Willy Wonka event had been both the “worst and best” of her life. Hundreds of families had forked out £35 a person to attend the event on February 24 last year.

Organisers had promised a “paradise of sweet treats” and “enchanted garden containing giant sweets and mysterious sculptures”. But instead, kids were given only a handful of jelly babies while parents blasted the “pathetic” decorations with bosses pulling the plug halfway through the first day.

Ms Paterson, who is a yoga instructor and fire eater, was pictured looking miserable as she played the part of the Oompa Loompa preparing jelly beans, becoming a viral meme in the process with her face appearing on TV shows across the world, including in the US. But the humiliation soon turned to something very different as she found herself in demand, appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe as well as events in New York and LA.

She said: “This has been a rollercoaster. The worst time of my life has also turned into the best time. I’ve achieved more in the last year than I could ever imagine in a lifetime but I’ve only just started processing it now.

“There has been a lot of self growth and I’ve got even bigger stuff coming out. Initially, it was really not great for everyone involved. People paid a lot of money and we never got fully paid. But I had opportunities and worked really hard to make it into something better.”
