Porn star who quit banking job for better-work life balance says now ’I am the boss’, earns THIS amount on Onlyfans
- To maintain work-life balance, Layla Kelly quit her 9-5 job as a banking consultant during the Covid-19 pandemic only to join the porn industry.

Layla Kelly was judged as New Zealand’s Best Porn Star in 2023 and 2024. She has been making a big bag of cash from her work since she entered the adult industry.
But before becoming a porn star, Kelly was part of the corporate sector, working as a banker in New Zealand.
To maintain work-life balance, she quit her 9-5 job as a banking consultant during the Covid-19 pandemic only to join the porn industry.
The 34-year-old porn star hasn’t looked back since as she now earns more than 250,000 NZD ($150,000) per year from selling NSFW content on OnlyFans, according to a report by UNILAD published in August 2024.
Kelly says her husband helps in filming and editing the content.
“I was on maternity leave and didn’t want to go back to my job in finance, he suggested starting OnlyFans or something similar since he knew I was already very comfortable in my own skin,” Layla Kelly said, according to a report by LAD Bible.
‘Fully supportive’ husband
Describing her husband as “fully supportive”, Kelly said: “My husband enjoys watching me be pleasured, especially by random men, he gets pleasure from that so he is definitely not jealous but more excited,” as per LAD Biblereport.
“We always discuss before we do anything new, then make sure to have a de-brief afterwards,” she added.

“Sometimes you don’t know how you will feel until the deed has been done and chatting afterwards means that we can make sure that everyone is comfortable with the same thing happening again or discuss if we need to change anything.”
Last year, Kelly told New Zealand Herald: “I am a mom and I’m the boss. I wanted the freedom of choosing what I do and the ability to control what I earn. I am comfortable with myself and confident with my body. Originally, I wanted to cover $300 a week for bills but I’ve blown that out of the water. Last year, I earned $250,000.”
