Katy Perry just made headlines for singing “What a Wonderful World” during her short space flight on Amazon’s Blue Origin space flight, and Camilla Araujo isn’t waiting to capitalize on the flight.
Araujo, a member of the infamous collective of young OnlyFans stars that calls themselves The Bop House, is becoming known as a doppelgänger of Perry. And Araujo is happy to encourage the comparison.
“It’s an honor to be compared to her, I love to joke that’s she’s my twin or my mom,” the 22-year-old said.
“I absolutely love Katy and it would be a dream come true to meet her.”
Instead, Araujo settles for being compared to her. She also cheers on the pop star, joking that she’s her mother. On her podcast, she recently said: “I don’t know if you guys heard, but my mom is literally going into space today.”
She went on, “I’m so excited for you, and I know you’re excited. It is something you’ve always wanted to do.”
The OnlyFans star uses her looks — whether you think she looks like Katy Perry or not — to make seven figures a month on the subscription-based platform. Thanks to her large social media following (she has millions of followers on YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms), she’s able to lead those followers to OnlyFans, where she charges $10 a month on her VIP page. Though it’s on sale for only $4 for 30 days for a limited time.
Araujo is adjusting to her new level of income. She grew up poor, the daughter of Brazilian immigrants, but all that’s changed. Now she can support her entire family thanks to the money her OnlyFans account brings in.
“I remember when I first retired my parents,” she shared.
“Mom, who used to wake up at 6am to go to work, woke up at 10am and called me crying. She couldn’t remember the last time she had felt so free. I almost burst out in tears as well when she told me this.”
Not only has she retired them, she splurges on lavish gifts for her family too. She explained: “I got my dad a brand new 2024 Corvette for his birthday – it’s his dream car. Mom received a pink BMW convertible and my brother Christian gets pretty much anything he wants.”
She continued: “I take them on crazy vacations. My family is definitely spoiled, but I love giving them gifts.”
The adjustment to the new fame and money has been going on for a few years, after she competed in MrBeast’s Squid Game challenge in 2021. Her social media following exploded after that, and she quickly began raking in more money than she ever dreamed of.
“When I made my first hundred thousand dollars, I just remember crying,” she said.
“You don’t really stop to think about the money because you’re so focused on making more – it’s like a drug.”
