The controversy began in mid-March when a father of one of Maraga’s pupils allegedly purchased and shared her content within a football group, prompting his wife to raise concerns with the school. Maraga was suspended without pay after refusing to delete the account and has since been outspoken about the unfairness of the school’s actions.
Despite support from a group of 30 parents and a trade union that initially pushed back against her dismissal, the school ultimately terminated her contract “for just cause with immediate effect.” Officials stated that her OnlyFans activity “contrasts with the Catholic inspiration that guides the educational direction of the school,” according to the ANSA news organisation. The school also cited her media interviews as damaging to its public image and the trust necessary for her role.
Maraga, who had worked at the school for five years, claims she was never offered the chance for dialogue. “They attacked me, saying I was seeking media attention. They have always acted with letters and never wanted to talk to me,” she said. “Taking compromising photos has never compromised my professionalism at work.”
