Sopranos vet Drea de Matteo made a stunning admission recently.
While appearing on the Not Today, Pal podcast Drea, 52, told the hosts, her former co-stars Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, that her OnlyFans content is a family affair.
Drea – who turned to creating content on the adult subscription site to save her home from foreclosure – was discussing her girl-on-girl content when she took a moment to apologize to her daughter Alabama, 16, and son Blackjack, 13, who were just outside the door to the studio.
‘I’m sorry guys,’ she said. ‘I’m really sorry. But they know.’
Iler, then, mused: ‘Your son was outside saying he edits your OnlyFans photos.’
‘Oh yeah,’ de Matteo confirmed. ‘He’s like, “So what do you want me to do with the bikini line here?”‘
She shares her teenagers with her ex-boyfriend Shooter Jennings.
de Matteo said she checked with her kids before she posted her girl-on-girl content and she doesn’t let them see that part of her OnlyFans channel.
The Desperate Housewives alum said that she doesn’t see her OnlyFans content as being that much different than her past movie and television roles.
‘Because it’s like, if I were to do it in a movie, because I would make out with girls in movies all day long before I’d even make out with boys,’ she said.
Last month, in a clip from from TMZ Presents Famous & Naked she said that OnlyFans provides a safer space for her.
In the video, the performer explained: ‘Why did I join OnlyFans? When we launched we had – I would say – a couple hundred bucks left in the bank. I’m not kidding. My house was going into for foreclosure.
‘Did I do it out of desperation? F*** yes I did. Did I think it would empower me just to be on OnlyFans? No, that wasn’t the f***ing point. You know, it empowered me to take care of my f***ing family. So the negativity that came with it, bring it the f*** on.’
The actress has previously spoken out about being ‘canceled’ from her acting career due to her refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
In September 2023, the former actress claimed she was forced to turn to the subscription service OnlyFans to make money after her stance on the vaccination caused her acting work to dry up and her agent to drop her, which quickly led her to being in a perilous financial situation and at risk of losing her home.
‘Hollywood the actual industry itself, there’s a lot of shifty s*** that goes on in Hollywood and we all know that. It’s about freedom and I don’t have to answer to f***ing anybody right now,’ she said.
Turning to the platform was initially not something that Drea wanted to do. And in fact, when she first toyed with the idea, it was because she and her boyfriend had thought about starting a podcast.
‘I did it, but I didn’t want to do it,’ she continued. ‘I got a lot of heat for doing it and it went f**king viral and people went nuts.
‘I mean, the original premise to open the OnlyFans was Robbie and I were gonna do a podcast on there that was controversial. We wanted to put it behind a paywall so to not be destroyed in the media for it.
‘That was what it was going to be originally, you know, like with him rubbing my feet because you have to add a little something for OnlyFans in there.’
