She became a top earner after reality TV fame

Hayley Vernon rose to fame on Married at First Sight Australia in 2020. Known for her fiery personality and bold presence, she quickly became one of the season’s most memorable cast members. After the show ended, she didn’t fade away. Instead, she found a new path, building a hugely successful career on OnlyFans. There, she sold adult content and embraced a confident, provocative new image that brought in serious money. But even after earning millions, the MAFS Australia star left OnlyFans behind.

So, how much was she earning on OnlyFans?

At the height of her success, Hayley revealed she had earned more than £1.1 million on the platform. She also briefly worked as a £600-an-hour escort and made no apologies for her lifestyle. In fact, she said she preferred it to navigating jealous partners, calling her clients “more interesting.” At the time, she felt empowered by the work. “I used to think that lingerie and dressing a certain way would make me feel empowered,” she said. “It didn’t, it did the opposite.”

So, why did she leave?

Despite the money and attention, something shifted for Hayley in 2024. She began selling off her designer lingerie and announced she was stepping away from the adult industry. The MAFS Australia star said she left OnlyFans because the pressure had taken a toll on her mental health.

“The line becomes quite blurred,” she explained on the MAFS Funny podcast. “You start acting so much and becoming this character that isn’t you, that you actually forget to be you.” She said the constant performance left her feeling anxious in everyday life. “When it comes to interacting in normal conversations, you actually start getting riddled with anxiety and fear.”

That period of reflection led her back to faith. “Yesterday I was born again in my faith, making a public declaration to the outside world based on the inward transformation I have experienced through finding Christ,” she shared. “There isn’t enough space or even words to explain the transformative goodness of God.”

Since stepping away, Hayley says she’s found clarity and a deeper sense of purpose. “Every inch of my life has changed for the better… what wasn’t serving me has fallen to the wayside.” Her faith, she added, gave her “a firmer foundation to live [her] life on” and the strength to let go of what no longer aligned with who she was becoming.
