A former teacher who was dismissed from her job after students discovered her OnlyFans account has hit back at Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid over her ‘cheap’ comment.
Earlier this week, Scottish ex-teacher Kirsty Buchan appeared on the daytime programme to discuss her decision to join the adult content platform, with the 34-year-old revealing she’d made as much as ‘£60k’ in one month under the moniker ‘Jessica Jackrabbit’.
Which certainly puts 99.9% of teaching salaries to shame.
Buchan’s account was eventually discovered by students at her school in 2022, forcing her to leave the profession. She was subsequently struck off by the General Teaching Council in a hearing which took place on Monday.
Following her GMB appearance, the former physics teacher was left feeling offended by an off-hand comment made by Reid at the end of her interview.
In order to segue from Buchan’s interview into an update on the weather with presenter Laura Tobin, the 54-year-old said: “Right – let’s have a look at weather now with Laura who’s all covered up in a field in Kent.”
Reid’s comment didn’t mention Buchan directly, however the OnlyFans model appears to have taken it as a slight against her profession, slamming the comment on social media.
Taking to Instagram Stories (via Daily Record), she wrote: “The only cheap person in a room is the one making cheap comments and cheap digs to someone.
“It says more about their character than it ever will about the people they are talking about.”
The mum went on to explain that she wasn’t able to respond to Reid’s remark, something which had ‘frustrated’ her.

“I thought it was a bit off-colour for her to get all sniffy about it after the interview ended and I didn’t have a chance to respond,” she added.
“That’s one thing about this whole episode that has frustrated me – that people want to judge me and aren’t bothered about my own opinions or explanations.
“But I’m glad I went to TV to get a few things off my chest.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the teacher also explained the reason why she joined OnlyFans while still working as a teacher, revealing it was due to needing time off from work when her mother and son were both unwell.
“It’s such a long story, my son hadn’t been well. He was seeing a specialist at the hospital,” she explained.

“I’m a single mum. I had no help to watch him, my only other help to watch him was my nana, who was going through cancer, radiation therapy.
“I needed time off and they were going to dock my wages. So it’s not as if it was the only job I could have done. But it was the only job that would get me enough money to pay my mortgage, Christmas and my broken car.”
