Linda De Sousa Abreu, a British prison officer, pleaded guilty to misconduct after being caught on video having sex with inmate Linton Weirich in Wandsworth prison. The incident, which occurred on June 27, was recorded by another inmate and quickly went viral on social media. Prosecutors detailed that Abreu, who runs an OnlyFans account, willingly participated in the video with Weirich, who was incarcerated for an $82,000 luxury goods heist in Kensington.
Abreu appeared in Isleworth Crown Court wearing white pants, a brown top, and a matching white jacket. She remained silent on her way into the courthouse. Her charge, misconduct in a public office, carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. Granted conditional bail, Abreu is scheduled to return to court on November 7. Her legal team has yet to release a statement.
The married mother was arrested following a police investigation that identified her as the officer in the viral video. Abreu, who holds a Portuguese passport, was apprehended at Heathrow Airport while attempting to flee to Madrid after informing her employers she would not be returning to work. Although she has remained largely silent about her arrest, she has publicly condemned those impersonating her on OnlyFans and creating parodies of her video.
Abreu and her husband run an OnlyFans account where they share explicit content. Using the pseudonyms “Linda from the Playroom” and “La Madre,” Linda describes herself as a “happily married sexy Latina” who shares authentic and genuine content with her followers.
In addition to her online activities, Linda has appeared on Channel 4’s racy show Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. Linda introduced herself on the show by criticizing monogamy as a social construct that should be dismantled, explaining that opening their relationship allowed them to form a deeper connection. The couple had been in an open relationship for three of their nine years together.
A video which went viral showed the officer having sex with an inmate while the video was recorded by another. The X-rated video was shared among prisoners using contraband phones. The inmate filming the encounter joked, “This is how we live at Wandsworth.”
Linda’s sister, in an interview with the Daily Mail, described Linda as a swinger and confirmed her appearance on “Open House.” She admitted that she had warned Linda not to mix her lifestyle with her professional duties, urging her not to do anything stupid.
