Many F1 fans were left shocked by reports of OnlyFans becoming a major sponsor of the Alpine F1 team from 2025 onwards. The French manufacturer has been making key changes for the future in the background such as shutting down their engine department at Viry and replacing Bruno Famin as their team principal.

But out of all the changes, the most shocking for many have been reports that OnlyFans, which is a subscription-based online platform popular in the world of p*rngraphy, would be joining Alpine as a major sponsor, possibly replacing title sponsor BWT from the 2025 season.

Many F1 fans took to social media to share their reactions to the reports of Alpine‘s new sponsor, with one fan saying:

“This is a joke, right?”

Another fan added:

“Suddenly everyone’s favorite team, and the global fanbase leadership board sees a significant change.”

Here are some more fan reactions:

“@F1 would allow this but not Andretti…” said a fan, referring to the American team’s attempts to enter F1.

“F*ck it , give em the money to get a better car lol,” claimed another fan.

“No way this is real,” said another fan.

The Enstone-based team has been struggling on the track since the beginning of the season and has only scored 11 points from 14 races and three Sprints thus far.

Alpine F1 team announce their new team principal after Bruno Famin’s exit

Alpine F1 announced that Oliver Oakes would be replacing Bruno Famin as the team principal after the end of the summer break.

As per F1.com, Oakes said:

“I am extremely grateful to Luca de Meo and Flavio Briatore for this opportunity to lead BWT Alpine F1 Team back to competitiveness. The team has talented people and excellent resources at its core, and I am confident that we can accomplish a great deal together during the remainder of this season and the longer term.”

Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore shared his delight at Oakes joining the team as the team boss after his successful stints at the F2 team Hitech, saying:

“I am delighted that we have been able to recruit Oli Oakes for our Formula 1 project. Oli is highly talented with a great record of leadership and success in racing.

“His move into this role is a great example of the strength and belief we have in our team and by young, upcoming people, and I’m excited to work closely with him with a joint focus on moving up the grid and winning races.” he added.

Aged 36, Oakes would become the second youngest team principal in F1 history, behind Red Bull‘s Christian Horner. Under the leadership of a new team boss, the French team would look to rack up more points in the upcoming races and become a contender to finish P6 in the constructor’s championship.
