Amanda Knox has released her second memoir, ‘Free: My Search for Meaning’, where she details her re-discovery of her sexuality behind bars after she was wrongly convicted fro the murder of her 21-year-old British roommate Meredith Kercher
Amanda Knox revealed she lived her “OnlyFans chapters” in prison after being wrongly convicted for the rape and murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher.
Knox, who was behind bars for four years for Kercher’s 2007 murder, has published her second memoir titled ‘Free: My Search for Meaning’. Now 37, her production company is also launching a new series, ‘The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox’, which reenacts the chilling events that devastated several families.
Now cleared of all charges with two children of her own, Knox has made a second effort to step outside the “box” of “sex monster rapist girl” by reclaiming her sexuality after she was “vilified” for it whilst on trial.

Nearly two decades ago Italian officials arrested a 20-year-old Knox and her then-boyfriend, 23-year-old Raffaele Sollecito, following the discovery of Meredith Kercher’s body. The Brit student had suffered a fatal neck wound. The trio, all studying abroad in Perugia, were caught up in what was claims they had been taking part in a sex game that turned deadly.
After returning to the US in 2011, Knox awaited the final dismissal of her case in 2015. Meanwhile, Rudy Guede, known to Perugia police for prior break-ins, was ultimately convicted for the murder.
Speaking to Memoir Nation’s Brooke Warner and Grant Faulkner, Knox said: “I realised there was little to nothing that I could do that could define me more than this crazy experience that I was put through as a 20-year-old.”
“There is a little pressure on wrongly convicted people and especially women to be graceful and to carry whatever traumas you’ve had in your life with dignity.”
Speaking about how she has tried to step outside of the story written about her she said of the period where she explored her sexuality “I call them my ‘only fans chapters of the book.”
She said: “I try and talk about the nitty gritty chapters – I talk about how I got back in touch with my sexuality in prison despite being overwhelmingly vilified for my sexuality whilst I was on trial.”
Knox also explored the relationship with her prosecutor Giuliano Mignini who she said “pursued a case against me in a court of law.” She said: “I just couldn’t understand how this man had looked at this 20-year-old traumatized girl and said theres my sex monster rapist girl.”
She said she discovered she had an “internal drive to understand my prosecutor and understand why he had put me through”. She asked: “Would he ever acknowledge or apologise that he hurt me? That sort of thing just ringing in my head and haunting me and to have a relationship with this person.”

She described building a relationship with Mignini saying that after she spoke with him she said to herself “Oh my god I finally did something that defines me more than this terrible story that was written about me. I felt I did what felt like was impossible which is define who i was on my own terms. I was deeply settled and at peace – and that felt like a story arc.”
However Knox’s mother did not feel the same. She added: “Without giving away exactly what he said…I told my mum what happened and she was furious.
“I was really disappointed in my mum with her reaction because I felt like she was missing the point which is what it wasn’t about him anymore – it was about me…and I showed up and said what I needed to say. I was hoping that my mom would be proud of that too.” She said her mum processed this and hugged her and said “ I am proud of you Amanda.”
