Her declared intention was to break the previous world record. Not too long after Blue’s appearance on the podcast, Phillips appeared to be broadcasting the idea as her own.
Prior to the Battle of the Doinkings, Blue and Phillips used to participate in sex stunts together, regularly collaborating on various explicit content creation ideas. Following Bonnie Blue’s misogynistic comments that suggested women owe sex to their husbands, Phillips called her friend out on her remarks. From there on out, the pair appeared to be distancing themselves from one another. One has to wonder just how much Lily Phillips attempting to co-opt Bonnie Blue’s intended goal for herself drove the pair apart. Blue was making controversial statements prior to the ones that allegedly got Phillips riled up enough to say something publicly against her friend, so was it the race to break the record that got between the pair?
Regardless of the friend drama, Phillips has set her sights on a new goal: breaking the world record for most anal sex encounters in a day. That is… certainly a choice. One that has the potential to send the rivalry between the two to strange heights.
Whether or not Phillips achieves her new goal, the physical and emotional toll these kinds of stunts have on the women (and men) involved shouldn’t be overlooked. Phillips has described—with tears running down her face—the state of dissociation she was in for the majority of her first mass sex stunt and disclosed that she tested positive for a host of STDs she was unaware she was spreading during the event. The public backlash for such stunts is also an additional burden to the mental health of those involved because regardless of how sex-positive any one person may be, anytime mass sex stunts are involved, there will be backlash. Is the personal cost actually worth being able to say that you’re the record-holder here? Really?
