She’s been a Bond Girl, a Playboy model and a very real Housewife of Beverly Hills so what’s next for Denise Richards?
A free-wheeling new reality show with her three daughters, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, premiering March 4 on Bravo.
“It’s another crazy chapter,” she says with a laugh. “I swear, it’s never calm, ever.”
In an interview in this week’s PEOPLE, the first ever with her three daughters, Sami, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13, the star, 54, dishes on everything from what she really thinks of Sami’s OnlyFans page (and why she decided to join herself) to her marriage to first husband Charlie Sheen — and why they’re putting it all out there in a new show.
She’s more than ready, along with her husband Aaron Phypers, and the girls. “We’re just trying to be ourselves,” she says, “because that’s how I’ve always approached reality for better or worse.”
“I’ve always said we need a reality show,” notes Sami. “Anything that went wrong or happened in our family, I would say, ‘Where are the cameras? We need to be filming this.’”
Now they are, including their sisterly squabbles. “We couldn’t be more different,” says Sami of her and Lola, who was recently baptized in the Christian church. Says Lola, “I love her. We are just walking in completely different paths and that’s okay.” Often it’s their younger sister Eloise who changes the mood.
Adopted by Richards as an infant, Eloise has a chromosomal disorder that has caused some developmental delays. Says Richards, “Eloise is very observant and understands everything. Sometimes when the girls go at each other, she just raises her eyebrows and then they laugh and can get past whatever stupid thing they’re fighting about.”
Their family bond is strong. As Phypers, who adopted Eloise in 2019, a year after marrying Richards, says, “It wasn’t even a decision. It is just is. She’s a sweetheart. I love her. I think of her as my own.”
“They’ve been through a lot,” says Richards of her two older daughters, especially in the early years of the messy aftermath of her split from their father, Sheen, in 2005. “I did my best to shelter them. There were times they were upset with me, but I tell them there’s no handbook. I did the best I could under the circumstances.”

And there was a new learning curve yet again when Sami launched an OnlyFans page at 18 years old. “I really wanted to get an apartment and I knew that working at the candy shop I was working at wasn’t going to cut it,” she says. “So I went to the next best thing and made an OnlyFans.”
Now her earnings pay the rent.
“At first, I didn’t understand what OnlyFans was,” says Richards. “When I saw that she was getting backlash for owning her sexuality and doing what she wanted to do, it upset me as a mom and also as a woman in business.”
So Mom ended up opening her own account. (By the way, she notes: “It’s quite lucrative.”)
“I wish she’d waited a bit because she started it right after me but it doesn’t bother me,” says Sami. Lola remains nonplussed and notes: “Whatever makes her happy.”

As for their dad, who’s been sober since 2017, Richards is happy to report they are in a good place. “He’s been supportive from day one.”
“He saw the trailer and sent me such a wonderful sweet positive text,” she says. “I was actually really surprised. It meant a lot to me.”

Today, Richards is on good terms with Sheen, his third ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who makes several appearances on the new show, and their twin 15-year-old sons, Bob and Max. (In 2013, Richards took in the twins temporarily when Mueller lost custody due to substance abuse issues. “I’m grateful we were able to help them during that time,” says Richards.)
“Charlie is always invited to holiday dinners,” says Richards. “There’s always an open door and that goes for Brooke and the boys as well. I’m always, the more the merrier. I want everyone to get along and everyone to be peaceful.”
