Johnson’s co-stars and collaborators have come to his defense, countering the rumors.

Red One director Jake Kasdan praised Johnson, saying the star “never missed a day of work” and has consistently brought positive energy to set, while co-star Chris Evans described Johnson as reliably professional.

“We all know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s going to do it,” Evans said, emphasizing that any schedule adjustments were pre-planned.

In Red One, Johnson stars as Santa Claus’s bodyguard, Callum Drift, opposite Evans as a bounty hunter.

With a cast including Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons, the holiday film is anticipated to be one of this year’s seasonal highlights.
