Former OnlyFans performer-turned-believer Nala Ray is sharing a warning for those who are considering joining or leaving the adult-only website.
“If there’s a woman right now who’s either contemplating getting on OnlyFans or wants to get off, how would you encourage her?” former adult film performer Brittni De La Mora recently asked Nala on her “Uncensored W/ Brittni De la Mora” podcast.
“The devil has a budget,” Ray replied. “The devil can only give you so much. So to them, I would literally say, ‘You can only go so far. This is not a career. These actions will have consequences.’”
Ray also explained how women are preyed upon, not just by those looking for sexual excitement, but by agencies.
“You’re not talking to the girl,” said Ray. “OnlyFans is so over-generated now that these girls always end up in an agency.”
“Just trust me, like, you’re not speaking to the girl anymore. You’re talking to men or to a middle-aged woman,” she said, adding that agencies take 60% of the profits.
She knew of one woman who had a “panic attack” after filming with another woman. She asked for the scene not to be sold, but the agency wanted the profit and ignored her requests.
“You don’t have control at the end of the day,” even though you don’t sign a contract, said Ray.
“It’s so sad because OnlyFans has made it so appealing, so appealing to make millions, and they’ve marketed themselves so well,” said Ray.
While OnlyFans has a lot of pull with wealth and influence, Ray says, “you’re entering a very, very dark room full of very dark people. They will suck you in.”
Ray was one of the most successful OnlyFans performers ever and made over $80,000 in her first month.
But the reality is, “There’s so many girls that don’t even touch that kind of income,” while “selling everything about themselves,” she said.
Both De La Mora and Ray were in the porn industry before they found God, who changed their hearts. Now, Ray shares about her faith and cautions others against using their body for profit. De La Mora and her husband created Love Always Ministries, which helps people be “victorious” through purity and a relationship with God. She and her husband host the “Let’s Talk Purity” podcast.
“I always try to tell people the reality of pornography is that it’s a soul-sucking industry,” said De La Mora. “And what people don’t realize is that when you are performing, the Bible teaches us the wages of sin is death…and that sex is the one sin that is the sin against your own body. And so the weight of that sin is traumatic.”
De La Mora was extremely successful as a performer, but she and others she knew took heavy drugs and alcohol in order to film scenes or deal with their depression.
In a video last year, De La Mora recalled writing in her journal, “Jesus, God, Buddha, whichever one of you is real, save me. Show me a sign. Let me know that everything is gonna be all right.” She felt the Holy Spirit and felt like God was telling her, “Brittni, I love you so much and this is not the life that I have for you.”
She felt Him telling her if she quit her lifestyle that He would bless her life. She quit porn that very day, and God was faithful.
“God just restored everything,” she said, adding that He gave her happiness that money can’t buy.
Ray became a Christian after someone messaged her on Instagram and shared the Gospel with her. She told Live Action’s founder, Lila Rose, that after a woman prayed with her to shut the “door of darkness” behind her, she deleted all of the sexual content that she put out on her socials and OnlyFans and got rid of her promiscuous clothes.
It’s amazing how God pulled Ray and De La Mora out of darkness and covered them in His redemption and love. Their testimonies have impacted many in the porn industry and will hopefully impact many more to come.
