ANGLETON — Five people charged with robbery in a case involving a man’s attempt to create “Only Fans” content have been indicted, official documents show.

A Brazoria County grand jury returned indictments Aug. 16 against Logan Atwell, 20, of Clute; Alicia Bowen, 23, of Freeport; Kaiden Funderburg, 20, of Clute; McKenz Harris, 19, of Dickinson; and Cameron Hayes, 20, of Angleton.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt but a determination there is enough evidence to go to trial.

The charges stem from an Angleton Police Department case in which a 24-year-old man reported $1,000 had been taken from him in a robbery June 24 at a hotel in the 1800 block of North Velasco Street, according to the probable cause affidavits for the case.

Investigators determined the man knew Bowen and had offered to pay her for sexual content for his Only Fans account, according to the affidavit.

OnlyFans is a website that allows subscribers to view often risqué content created and posted by members. The content includes photos, videos and livestreams. While known mostly for its adult fare, it also is used by fitness trainers, models and others seeking to monetize their professions.

Bowen agreed to meet with the man and bring two friends, Funderburg and Harris, the affidavit states.

The man told police he and Bowen were kissing when “two masked men entered the room,” the affidavit states. The three women left the room while the men, armed with a bike chain and brass knuckles, cornered the man, placing him in fear, the affidavit states.

The men — later identified as Atwell and Hayes — took money from the man then escorted him to his vehicle to look for more money, according to the affidavit.

The man told police “he had a firearm inside his pickup, which alarmed the masked men, who ran away,” the affidavit states.

Through the investigation, officers interviewed Bowen, who provided a written confession which said the man “reached out to me offering money for sex. … My friend Kaiden and I had come up with the plan to show up asking for half up front and then to just walk out …” the affidavit states.

Bowen told police she spoke with Atwell on June 3 about the plan.

“When she called, Cameron told her that we are going to knock once and that’s when y’all run out and we go in,” Atwell said in a written statement to investigators. “Kaiden came back out and told us to follow her in once we were in, they all ran out. Me and Cameron went in.”

When police interviewed Harris on June 25, she gave a written statement stating she believed Bowen was joking around as they discussed the robbery, the affidavit states.

Atwell was booked June 28 and released July 1 on $50,000 bond, according to online jail records. No trial dates have been scheduled for him.

Bowen was booked and released June 29 on $50,000 bond, according to online jail records. A pretrial hearing is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 11 before 461st District Judge Patrick Bulanek, online court records show.
