Former Flipping Out personality Trace Lehnhoff has opened up about his decision to join OnlyFans.

The 37-year-old Bravo alumnus revealed during a candid New Year’s Day Instagram Q&A that the subscription-based platform provides him with financial independence and serves as an “empowering” outlet for self-expression.

In response to potential critics of his intimate content sharing, Lehnhoff dismissed such perspectives as ‘closed minded’.

The accomplished interior designer, who graced three seasons of the popular Bravo series, also addressed questions about potentially sharing intimate content featuring himself and his fiancé Miles McMillan.

When asked about his feelings regarding subscribers viewing his intimate content on OnlyFans, Lehnhoff — who previously dated Queer Eye‘s Antoni Porowski — responded: “Exciting and empowering.”

“I didn’t anticipate the community there. Walls come down and people tend to speak more freely. I chat directly with all of my “fans.” I’ve learned so much from so many.”

Discussing his motivation for joining OnlyFans, Lehnhoff explained that the platform’s financial benefits allow him to be more selective with his projects, choosing only those that truly inspire him rather than accepting work out of necessity.

“I continue to find power from my OF. I decided to draw from a part of my life that I love. I love houses and design. I pursue it as a career. I love sexuality and capitalize on what I was basically doing already.”

He elaborated: “I’m driven by hard work. It satisfies me. I’m hungry for it. Plus it has awarded me freedoms in my mind and also monetarily.”

‘I can compromise less on both because I’ve diversified my interests. It lets me take bigger risks on both sides because they are happening simultaneously but happen to be separate.’

“I may turn down a project more easily that doesn’t excite me whereas I might’ve felt pressure to do it before OF. And I do what I’m comfortable with on OF – and lately feel inspired to push it further because I’m ready on my terms.”

Addressing potential judgment from his design industry peers regarding his OnlyFans presence, he stated: ‘If someone judges it I just don’t think they really get it. It’s one thing if it isn’t for them. But to judge it seems closed minded.’

“I’d say most of us all do it, I’m just sharing some of my experiences and from my POV. I know wayyyy too many colleagues who I respect that like and support it and that easily outweighs those who judge.”

When questioned about potential collaborations in 2025, Lehnhoff addressed the topic by emphasizing his monogamous relationship with his model fiancé—who previously dated Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto.

“Probably not. We’re very happily monogamous. I’m inspired by our intimacy. I think that translates to my subscribers.”

Following a fan’s positive response to their monogamous status, Lehnhoff shared, ‘I’ve gotten so many encouraging and kind comments about this. I support whatever works in anyone’s relationship. This is what works and what I love about ours.’

The couple’s engagement announcement came in 2023, with Trace sharing the news via Instagram while celebrating Miles’ 34th birthday.

“The first night Miles and I met we were at a small house party. Leaving, we exchanged numbers and about his third text to me he was asking when my birthday is. He told me his is June 27th and what I didn’t know then is that June 27th would easily become my favorite day,” his heartfelt post began.

“There’s a glow about you Miles and it beams out of you, it appears in everything you create and exchanges you have. Also, seeing as I’m sharing, I took this photo of us in Japan on the day I proposed — because wanting to spend my life with you is just as easy as knowing today is my favorite day ♥️ I love you @milesmcmillan — happy birthday!!”

Prior to his current relationship, Lehnhoff dated Porowski, though their romance concluded in 2019 after one year.

McMillan’s previous relationship with Quinto—known for portraying Spock in the rebooted Star Trek film series—also ended in 2019, following a six-year commitment.
