AI might fill in for the yet-to-arrive sex robots and soulless virtual influencers in the Metaverse. A French AI startup has launched a deepfake AI tool for influencers and educators, that could be a game changer for adult content creators too.

Paris-based Argil AI is already a runaway hit among creators across YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms. The AI helps users generate their AI avatars. The AI clone generated on Argil’s SOTA model not only speaks but also moves like a real person, with multiple camera angles and movement features to add to the content creation repertoire. All the user has to do is upload a few minutes of their video to Agril and ta-daaaaa! Write a script with scenes and watch your AI clone present a weather report with the choice of voice tonality, or create educational and promotional content on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.

The AI platform is also expected to seize the adult content platform OnlyFans within a year, as influencers seek to cut short production costs. This shouldn’t come across as a surprise. While several platforms have stringent guidelines for AI-generated content, the deepfakes are evolving and are not restricted to masking the face with someone else’s.

Currently the classic plan of Argil AI is at $39 a month, while the Pro Plan can be subscribed to at $149 per month.

The founders of the Y-Combinator-backed startup are Laodis Menard, a science fiction writer and Briveael Le Progam, an ethical hacker.

Meanwhile, here’s how the users on social media are discussing the impact of AI platforms such as Argil. One user remarked,

This is a slippery slope to madness… then you add Musk’s Neuralink to the mix and you won’t have people leaving the house. They will be consumed in a whole different world.

Another user commented

Honestly a big fan of AI making this entire industry obsolete. Looking forward to it.
