I know the Olympics are over, but now we’re getting to the point of the fallout from those who made a bigger name for themselves in Paris. Alysha Newman is one of them. Canadian won the bronze in pole vaulting, did the fake an injury into a twerk celebration and went viral. Everyone saw it, even if videos are deleted on the Internet because the Olympics will nuke anything and everything quicker than LeBron getting dunked on by Jordan Crawford. But you see, the story of her twerking doesn’t end there. Oh no, my friends:
[Source] – Newman also added that she’s received 20,000 new subscribers (and counting) on the platform since the start of the Games. She is currently charging $7.79 for a subscription (she normally charges $12.99), meaning she’s grossed at least $155,800 from just her new wave of subscribers alone (OnlyFans creators keep 80 percent of revenues).
She also estimated that she’s up 200,000 followers on Instagram since the beginning of the Olympics, while her earnings from OnlyFans have helped cover many of the costs associated with being an elite athlete.
I know she was on OnlyFans before these Olympics, but this is how you capitalize on a moment. Pole vaulting doesn’t make serious money – she even admits so. But now a bronze medal, a viral moment, a sense of humor about it all? Money comes in and your name keeps getting floated out there for interviews – come on OnlyStans, Alysha.
That’s exactly how you handle it. Who gives a shit if people are making fun of you for twerking or having an OnlyFans? They aren’t making the money after winning a bronze medal. You got 2028 to start working towards, what are you gonna stop making money for it? I don’t think so. This is prime Internet. Go viral, be successful at what you’re good at and make money. That’s something I stand to applaud. Break the OnlyFans page, have to hop on a call to fix it and rake in money. Job well done as far I’m concerned.
