Former Harry Potter actor Jessie Cave has revealed she will be starting an OnlyFans account, selling “sensual” content surrounding her hair.

British actor Cave is best known for her role as Lavender Brown in three of the Harry Potter films – Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Parts One And Two – released between 2009 and 2012. She also appeared in the film Pride, as well as performing comedy and publishing novels.

The announcement came via her Instagram, where she posted a video sitting on a bed. “I’m starting an OnlyFans” she tells a voice off screen, presumably her partner Alfie Brown. “Hair stuff. So, stuff like this” she explains, while holding and brushing her hair. “It needs the best quality hair sounds,” she says. “You need to hear the brushing”.

Later in the video, she says the look she’s going for is: “Slutty Mormon. You know, I’m going for a very pure aesthetic”. It’s then explained that the channel will contain: “Very sensual stuff with my hair. I think this could make the big bucks”. When asked if she would be posting “feet or bum” content, she gave an emphatic “No”.

Cave talked about the venture on her Before We Break Up Again podcast. “I am launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one,” she said. “It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual”.

On her Substack account, Cave talked about her reasons for the move. “One year. I’ll try for one year,” she wrote. “My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love”.

She also said her connection to the wizard franchise were an inspiration. “Were my years of Harry Potter conventions in fact research?” she added. “(It feels) like I’m doing something naughty, something a little fucked up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book”.

Cave is not the only artist to turn to the subscription programme for secondary income. Last year, Lily Allen revealed she had opened an OnlyFans account selling pictures and videos of her feet. Also, Kate Nash launched a Butts For Tour Buses campaign on the site, posing for photos to raise money for touring.
