Here’s What This Former OnlyFans Performer Wants Critics of Her Faith to Know

By Movieguide® Contributor

Former OnlyFans performer and believer Nala Ray is responding to critics who question her faith.

Ray made $14 million over four years before she left the industry and followed Christ.

“I have so many people in comments telling me they’ll only believe I’m a Christian if I give away all the ‘sinful money’ I made doing porn,” Ray said. “But I know, Romans 10:9 says, ‘If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’”

“I am not still doing porn,” she explained. “I am not still selling myself on the internet. I deleted anything that coupled explicit content off my social media.”

Ray looks like many young people these days. She colors her hair and wears a lot of makeup and false eyelashes. But critics have criticized her looks as if her appearance shows she isn’t a true Christian.

“No, it has nothing to do with your standards on my walk with God; it has everything to do with my standards walking with God,” she said.

Ray announced her conversion last year. As a performer, she felt empty.

“The money’s the trap,” she said. “Our addiction to porn in America is ridiculous…You’re literally a pimped-out puppet, and your pimps are your subscribers.”

She turned to God after she met influencer Jordan Giordano. He shared Christ and scripture with her, not knowing what she did for a career. After several weeks, she gave her life to God. The couple began dating and are now married.

“He started sending me Bible verses…sending me Christian content,” Ray told Lecrae on his podcast last year. “I was like, ‘Bro, come on. You think I’m gonna watch this?’”

“But then he outright one day sent me a video, being like, ‘I know you may not want to hear this, but God loves you so much and you are so worth it. What you’re doing is not right.’ [He] called me out, called my sin out. I got so defensive…I was like, ‘How dare you judge me?’ That’s what I felt like it was…But he was not judging me in the least bit; he was loving me.”

Movieguide® reported earlier: “Ray said, ‘…I started OnlyFans because I think truly in was out of pure rebellion…and I climbed to top .01%. I’m not saying that to brag, I’m saying that the devil can truly give you things in this life.”

Now, Ray despises the porn industry.

“The ones who are glamorizing [this lifestyle] are men trying to run women’s lives and take a percentage out of it, and it’s horrifying,” she said. “It’s truly horrifying to be a woman and have men take a percentage of you showing your body on the internet. It’s just like having a pimp… It’s truly horrific that it’s being advertised in that manner, but it makes me want to fight all the more to help women understand that this is not where you want to go.”

Though OnlyFans seems socially acceptable to many in our secular world, the harms of pornography are abundant. Pornography has people made into products. It heavily influences extremely violent crime offenders, which has been proven in numerous studies.

As referenced in Dr. Ted Baehr’s “The Culture Wise Family,” Katherine DeBrecht wrote, “The predator is constantly in a state of sexual arousal. The animalistic nature of the predator is such that there is no conscience. There is only an insatiable drive to consummate the act of his/her desire. There is no regard for the ‘personhood’ of his/her victims.”

Families must guard themselves and their loved ones when it comes to the content they watch.
