When one is openly dissed onstage during the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history, one should maybe avoid participating in the activities that earned them a spot in that famous diss track. Drake was in Australia for his tour, and the whole thing was already chaos when he went to dinner with OnlyFans models who are a little too young for him—including Kayla Jade. To add fuel to the yikes fire, as a result of his little detour, Drake was at least three hours late for his Brisbane concert, much to the disappointment of fans who had packed into the stadium to see him.

When news broke that Kayla Jade was present at Drake’s side quest, there was an outcry. She’d shared the details of the evening on her TikTok and was met with everything from concerned fans to outraged commenters threatening to cancel her for her decision to go to dinner with the rapper. She has since shared a follow-up video expressing regret for attending. She’s young—and just to be frank—young people do some dumb things. Choosing to go to dinner and a concert with a known predator was certainly one of them. She claims she wasn’t fully aware of the allegations against Drake and stated that had she known just how serious the situation was, she wouldn’t have considered going to the concert. Jade was firm in stating that she believes his victims, took down the video of herself at the concert, and disabled comments to prevent anything from interfering with one of his alleged victims receiving justice.

Which is lovely, but Kayla? Honey? You’re an OnlyFans model and full-service “spicy accountant.” Due diligence is even more necessary for you than for women in other industries, as OnlyFans models face higher levels of harassment and even assault compared to women in other professions. It doesn’t take a full background check to know that Drake has an established history of preying on young women, and that maybe—just maybe—you should steer clear. Hopefully, she’s learned a little something from the whole incident and will be more cautious about who she chooses to spend time with, publicized or not.

Now, moving on from the young’in who learned a hard lesson to the grown-ass man who should know better.

This isn’t Drake’s first rodeo. I’d even venture to say it’s not even his second rodeo since it takes more than one oopsie-daisy round in the key of A-minor to get Kendrick Lamar to decide it’s time to throw hands musically. Drake’s got an established history with young women that is questionable at best. Millie Bobby Brown and Billie Eilish come to mind. The allegations against him have been flying for a minute now, and the speculation that he intentionally preys on young women is only growing. This latest mess has done nothing but throw more fuel on that already smoking dumpster fire.

What makes the whole affair even sketchier? Not too long after the incident that resulted in the Brisbane concert starting over three hours late, Drake abruptly pulled the plug on the rest of his Australia and New Zealand tour. He says it’s postponed—so hopefully, ticket holders will get their money’s worth?—and then hightailed it out of Australia as quickly as his plane could carry him.

So… were his less-than-ideal actions in Brisbane part of a pattern, or just a good ol’ fashioned PR nightmare? His reputation certainly isn’t recovering from that internationally famous diss track anytime soon, and he may just have taken down Kayla Jade unless the content creator can learn and adapt from this situation rapidly enough to keep it from haunting her influencer career.

Honestly… I don’t know why I was surprised by this new layer of yikes in the Drake mess. That’s on me.
