The former IBF bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges gave a sneak peek into boxing’s dirty underbelly in an explosive X rant. Frustrated by her long period of inactivity following her fight against Miyo Yoshida in December 2023 on the undercard of Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis, she wrote on X, “If only the fans really knew the shit that goes on behind the scenes. We are fighters we all wanna be active and fight and get pay days.”

The fickle nature of the sport forced the former IBF Bantamweight champion to open an OnlyFans account to save herself from going “broke”. However, many criticized her for going that route. She regularly faces the ire of many boxing fans for choosing to have an OnlyFans account while simultaneously trying to sustain a career in boxing. Each time, the Blonde Bomber defends her position vehemently. In yet another X rant, the Australian boxer defended her decision to become a creator on the controversial social media platform.

Ebanie Bridges does not take online shaming lightly

It has been more than eight months since her IBF title defense fight against Miyo Yoshida. Since then, both fighters have been struggling to get promoters to set up a rematch. “The people who could organise it, won’t make it happen. What a shame. Boxings shithouse,” Bridges previously ranted on X. Now, in a long X tirade, Ebanie Bridges again defended her decision to be on OnlyFans as it has become her only source to make money while boxing has left her in a precarious position financially. “ Sorry I make more money on onlyfans than i do putting my life on hold training praying for a promoter to give me a fight all year,” she wrote on X.

Bridges further pointed out that if it wasn’t for OnlyFans, “I’d be a broke a** b*tch”. “People expect me to just twiddle my thumbs and be broke waiting on fights with no income,” she stated frustratingly.

Furthermore, she revealed why the adult subscription-based social media networking site is her favorite means of communication with her fans.

Exclusivity is the key!

Bridges feels that her followers are missing out on exclusive content that she only shares on her OnlyFans account. She claimed that if people wanted a more raw and candid version of her, they wouldn’t find it in her other social media accounts. “My onlyfans is where you really get to know me and see what I’m up to… that’s why it’s exclusive… I dnt want to give the world access to my private life,” she wrote on X.

“Im so blesssed I have people that enjoy supporting me and seeing my personal life, exclusively, cos the reality is I don’t show nothing about my life or personal life on socials,” she further stated.

On top of that, Ebanie Bridges expressed her anger over the fact that many other boxers have an OnlyFans account, but she is the only one subjected to rampant abuse and ridicule on social media. The Australian boxer concluded her rant, by calling her haters “jealous c*nts”.
