One of Ireland’s top OnlyFans models left the scene of an accident and drove through a red light while she had cannabis in her system, a court has heard.

Lauren Moloney (21) also drove on the wrong side of the road, and only stopped when gardaí activated the blue lights and sirens on the patrol car and directed her to pull over.

The self-employed model had been smoking cannabis at the time, but was now clean, her lawyer said.

Judge David McHugh told Moloney she was lucky to be here, as were others she met on the road.

Judge McHugh banned Moloney from driving for two years, fined her €400 and imposed a three month sentence which he suspended for one year.

The defendant, with an address in Finglas, admitted dangerous driving, driving without insurance or a driving licence and drug driving.

She also admitted a number of hit and run offences, including failing to stop, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and failing to give appropriate information to gardaí.

Garda Tom Wynne told Blanchardstown District Court that he was on mobile patrol at Cardiffsbridge Road in Finglas just before 6pm on June 1, 2022 when a car exited the Dunnes Stores car park and drove on the wrong side of the road.

Garda Wynne said Moloney drove through a red light.

He activated the blue lights and sirens on the patrol vehicle, and Moloney stopped at Wellmount Road.

Garda Wynne said he was then approached by a member of the public who told him that Moloney had been involved in a traffic collision at Dunnes Stores car park.

Garda Wynne said Moloney failed to stop, failed to remain at the scene of an accident and failed to give her details to the other driver.

The garda said Moloney later provided a blood sample to gardaí, and it came back positive for cannabis.

The court heard Moloney had never been in trouble before. Defence lawyer Ciaran MacLoughlin said this incident took place when Moloney was only 19 years old. She was smoking cannabis at the time, but was no longer using drugs, he said.
