Last week she dipped her toe into the murky world of OnlyFans by launching her own account.
And now Lily Allen has defended her decision to sell photos of her feet online, saying it is ’empowering’ after years of being ‘sexualized’ by people from a ‘very young age.’
The pop star, 39, who is happily married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, started the account after being told her feet were ‘highly-rated’ on the internet.
She said the account, which costs just £8 per month to subscribe to, is for a ‘select group of enthusiasts’ who ask her for bespoke photos of her ‘spreading’ her toes.
‘I’m finding this actually quite empowering,’ she said on the latest episode of her Miss Me? Podcast.
‘Having been very sexualized from a very early age, and literally everybody else in the process profiting from that sexualization, it’s actually really fun to be like, in power and in control of something that I find so silly.’
While OnlyFans is primarily used by people selling adult and X-rated content to subscribers, Ms Allen said she doesn’t see what she’s doing as being ‘sexual.’
She said: ‘I don’t feel like it is sexual – how it is received is another thing altogether.’
While she doesn’t find feet ‘kinky’ herself, she said there is something ‘slightly kinky’ in the ‘power element’ of the transactions.
Ms Allen, who is mother to daughters Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, from her marriage to Sam Cooper, said husband Harbour thinks her new business endeavor is ‘great.’
‘He thinks it’s great. At first he was, like, not turned on, but he was like, ‘Is this a kink for you?,’ she said.
‘And I was like, ‘No, it’s totally not a kink’. But maybe there’s something in the power element of it that’s slightly kinky for me.’
She added: ‘I’m having my day in the sun.’
Ms Allen, who captioned one photo, ‘Sole trader’ and another, ‘La Dolce Feeta’, said she has ‘strict rules’ about what she will and won’t do when it comes to requests.
‘My toe daddies are very happy with the content that I am supplying. It’s only feet: I’ve got very strict guidelines,’ she said.
‘These guys are all up in my DMs telling me they want bespoke content and asking me for all kinds of crazy stuff and I take such pleasure in just saying, ‘Only feet.’
‘We can talk about what I can do with those feet as long as it doesn’t involve any other parts of the body.
‘Toe spreading is a big, big thing. They really want to see me spread those toes and apparently I’ve got a good spread.’
While it’s not known how many subscribers she has, the account has got over 700 ‘likes’ since it was started a week ago.
‘I have a lady who comes and does my nails and they informed me that I have five stars on Wikifeet, which is quite rare,’ Ms Allen said on her podcast last week.
‘But yes, my feet are rated quite highly on the internet.’
Ms Allen explained that Wikifeet is ‘a Wikipedia for famous people’s feet’ and that her nail technician thought she ‘could make a lot of money from selling foot content on OnlyFans.’
She added: ‘I’m like, ‘not no.’
Sharing the news that she had officially launched her Only Fans over on her Instagram Story, Lily posted the link to her page alongside a snap of her painted toes.
She wrote: ‘She’s done it’ alongside a laughing emoji, before joking: ‘What is this going to do to my algorithm?’
Referencing her and Miquita’s chat on the podcast she added: ‘If you don’t listen to #missme podcast on @bbcsounds… this whole post is going to look very strange indeed’.
Lily, who resides primarily in Brooklyn, New York, married David, 49, in 2020 at a ceremony in Las Vegas.
She has been teetotal for five years and has admitted that her life has ‘changed so much’ after giving up alcohol completely.
Speaking on her new podcast, she recently admitted that she had never ‘had sex not drunk’ before she met American actor Harbour.
‘I wonder if I kink shame my husband. He often asks for things, and I’m like, ‘No, babe. It’s not happening,’ she said of their sex life.
‘Not like, ‘You piece of s***! How dare you ask me to do that. I’m just like, ‘Headache, little headache. I have a bit of a headache, maybe not tonight.’
