She’s said because of her privileged upbringing, it’s never been about the cash

Lily Phillips has said money isn’t the reason she does OnlyFans. She’s gone viral recently for her “100 men in a day” YouTube stunt, which undoubtedly will have earned her some cash. But, she has said money isn’t the motivation for what she does.

Before becoming an OnlyFans creator, Lily Phillips had a very privileged life, and money was never an issue. “I didn’t get into OnlyFans because I was desperate for money,” she told MailOnline. “My parents loved to spoil us, I had a very comfortable, happy life. It was the picture-perfect childhood and I had amazing parents.”

Lily’s parents offered her the chance to be privately educated, and the family had two holidays every year – a fancy skiing trip and a luxury summer getaway. The family also owned a Range Rover, an Audi, and a Porsche 911.

When Lily got down to talking about her real motives for getting into OnlyFans and sex work, she said she was “sleeping around” when she was younger. “I was sort of selling sex to guys on my nights out without making any money, so I thought I might as well charge for it,” Lily explained.

Speaking in a further interview, Lily explained she was “a lot more promiscuous” before she did OnlyFans. So, what she does on there now isn’t for money.

“I do this job because I love it so much,” she said. “Obviously money in every job is a big thing, but for me it’s not about the money.” She explained she does the job to “give back” to her OnlyFans supporters. The subscribers have “really helped” her to have “freedom” in her work. She explained she does it for a life where she can work for herself, and not feel pressure at work.

Lily has previously said she enjoys sex, and feels it’s empowering to make money this way. She said: “I do what I want and I do it because I enjoy it. I think there are obviously some women that maybe go into it because they have to or because they need the money and stuff like that.

“Or they’re kind of coached into it by men. But my personal experience is I’ve only ever felt empowered by making money off something I think guys will do anyway. Like guys are always going to sexualise me so I may as well try and profit off that a bit.”
