In a move that has sparked an equal mix of controversy and interest, Meighan Baker, a content creator from Denham Springs, has been the talk of New Orleans for the past few weeks thanks to a provocative billboard promoting her OnlyFans account. The billboard towers over Central City near the Caesars Superdome and features Baker’s OnlyFans username, “ArielleMyles88,” displayed prominently in bold, turquoise letters. Since its installation, the billboard has drawn widespread attention, making waves both online and on the streets of New Orleans.

According to NOLA.com, what started as a lighthearted joke quickly became viral. “It started out as just a joke,” Baker explained. However, the impact of her decision to invest in a Lamar Advertising billboard—strategically placed near a church—has been anything but trivial. The bold move has provoked a range of reactions from the public. While social media platforms have been abuzz with commentary, reactions have varied from supportive to highly critical.

Supporters, including many women in the sex industry, have praised Baker for her boldness and entrepreneurial spirit. However, not all feedback has been positive. While she has garnered significant support in New Orleans, Baker has also faced criticism, particularly from individuals in her hometown of Baton Rouge. The scrutiny has extended beyond her career choice, with some commentators targeting her appearance.

Baker’s journey into the world of OnlyFans began during the summer of 2021 while living in the French Quarter. As a dancer at Rick’s Cabaret on Bourbon Street, she was out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeking a new source of income, she turned to OnlyFans, where she quickly found financial success. Today, Baker maintains her OnlyFans account while also picking up dancing gigs at a club in Port Allen. Her boyfriend, Steven Gremillion, who also serves as her business partner, recognized the financial potential early on and quit his job to support their flourishing online business.

The decision to invest in a billboard was inspired by another OnlyFans content creator who was fired from her job at a nursing home after staff discovered her online presence. Baker, motivated by this story and the success it brought, decided to take her own account to the next level by advertising it in the physical world. The billboard, which went up on July 29, has already proven to be a profitable venture, with Baker’s OnlyFans subscriptions doubling in less than two weeks, and her income increasing by 200%.

According to Gremillion, Baker’s billboard is a first of its kind in the United States. The couple’s success story serves as a testament to the growing influence of online platforms like OnlyFans and the lengths some are willing to go to promote their brand.

The billboard will remain up for four weeks, and depending on its performance, Baker is considering expanding her advertising efforts with additional billboards in New Orleans.
