If there’s a trend in the recent announcements of musicians launching profiles on OnlyFans, it’s that the platform is an option for artists who are facing challenges in their traditional income streams. Lily Allen and Kate Nash have both talked about their OnlyFans in the context of low streaming royalties, for example. Mexican star Yeri Mua is bucking that trend however.
The influencer-turned-reggaeton-artist’s fortunes have been surging this year. She has 6.6 million Spotify listeners, 12.4 million Instagram followers and was recently named as the biggest artist on TikTok for 2024. A position of strength, then, but Mua is nevertheless setting up shop on OnlyFans.
“A platform where I can truly express myself and connect with my followers,” is how she described the platform, which built its business with adult-entertainment stars but has been trying to persuade more influencers and mainstream celebrities that it can be lucrative for them too.
Mua is charging $10 a month for her OnlyFans with the promise of “some surprises in store” for subscribers.
