A mum whose one-year-old son was found dead from a fentanyl overdose in a motel room posted photos to OnlyFans just days after the tot’s tragic death, her sister has claimed.

Summer Cheyanne Buxton, from Louisiana, reportedly continued to post provocative images and discuss sex and drugs despite the death of little Keynan Jay Buxton in 2023. Buxton, who is 21, was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of her son.

Her own sister, Kayla Lyons, even begged the judge to give Buxton the harshest possible penalty. Posting her own victim impact statement on Facebook, Ms Lyons said her sister had no remorse and made the sordid posts about her lifestyle days after Keynan died. She told a judge in the case her sister “has no remorse in her eyes”.

She wrote: “He can see that she has a disconnect from reality & that she is missing something,” Lyons wrote, referring to the judge. Summer is proud of the life she lived. She brags about the fact that her ‘sugar daddy’ is the one who is paying for her attorney.”

Baby Keynan was found dead in a motel room on May 30, 2023, with methamphetamine-fentanyl and acetyl fentanyl in his system. Adrian Higgins, his father, was arrested and later sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a manslaughter charge, Law&Crime reports.

In January last year, Buxton was detained and later charged in January 2024 at a motel in Mississippi. A second woman was also arrested in the case. She has a court hearing set for March 3.

Lyons said justice was not served and shared her frustration at the short sentence her sister received. Buxton is likely to be out of prison by the time she is 28.

“How do you give someone 8 years, for the death of her child.. but you can receive up to 10 years for animal abuse?” the defendant’s sister said.

Buxton’s attorneys claimed the death accidental. They said: “Our client suffered from a severe drug addiction that impaired her better judgment. We did not believe that her conduct constituted the offense of manslaughter.

“We felt all along that negligent homicide was the more appropriate charge. However, the DA’s office refused to reduce the charge, but they did make us a very fair and reasonable offer.”

According to baby Kenyan’s obituary, the Hot Wheels and car lover follows his little brother in death. It read: “He was welcomed into Heaven Tuesday, May 30, 2023 by his brother AJ and great grandparents, Danny & Claudine Stuber, Leroy Abshire Sr., and Hubert Labauve.”

It added: “He loved going to the park and swinging and when he could not play outside he watched Cocomelon, his favorite character being the Star.”
