Timo Barthel has won the European Championships – and he’s got an OnlyFans (@timobarthel1)
German diver Timo Barthel has won gold at the European Championships for the men’s synchronised 3-meter springboard – and he’s got an OnlyFans.
Timo Barthel, along with partner Moritz Linus Wesemann, triumphed in the event at the European Championships in Antalya, Turkey, over the weekend, winning gold while Italy took silver and Great Britain took Bronze.
The diver had won bronze at two previous European Champs (2020 and 2022 for 10-meter platform synchro), and placed seventh with Jaden Eikermann in the same event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He also placed sixth by himself on the 10 meter platform in Paris.
And as well as being a decorated athlete, Barthel has got fans swooning with his own OnlyFans page packed with exclusive content.
The page, which is available through the diver’s Instagram bio is flagged for ‘sensitive content’ and largely contains training snaps of Barthel in mercifully small speedos – and some showing off his tanlines.
“Most of the pictures and videos you will see on my page are in trunks,” the page’s description states. “Please don’t forget … I am a[n] athlete not a porn actor. We are in the public eye and have to take care of our reputation. Everything you see on this page is only for this page.”
Barthel isn’t the only Olympic diver to capitalise on the content sharing platform; Gay Olympians Matthew Mitcham and Robbie Manson (an Australian diver and Kiwi rower, respectively) both have pages, and about half of Team GB do as well (not quite, but you get the gist).
Is Timo Barthel gay?
According to Outsports, Barthel wrote to them in 2020, ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, to clarify his sexuality was undefined.
“I am not a given name,” he told the publication. “Human is human. It’s doesn’t matter which side you attracted to and It doesn’t matter which skin color you have. Human is human.”
He again told Outsports, “Humanity is what counts. And love is love. Doesn’t matter which direction,” ahead of 2024’s Paris Olympics.
Either way, he looks great in a speedo, in our journalistic opinions.
