A former drug mule turned mom and OnlyFans model, Levi-April Whalley, has some crucial advice for two young women who are facing a similar situation to her own. Bella May Culley and Charlotte May Lee are British women who have been arrested for drug smuggling abroad, a charge that Whalley herself once faced. Whalley is a former nurse who was also once arrested for drug smuggling, with a key difference: Whalley faced her charges on her home soil.
Whalley was arrested in December 2023 alongside Sophie Bannister for smuggling. They were accused of smuggling 35kg of cannabis from New York to the UK, all hidden in their luggage. Both women received suspended sentences at Preston Crown Court, consisting of 16 months for Whalley and 20 months for Bannister. During that time, Whalley was suspended from her nursing practice due to her involvement in the crime. As a result, she turned to content creation on OnlyFans as a means of supporting herself. Support that was needed, as she has become a mother since her arrest.
Currently, there are two young women from the UK facing similar charges. Bella May Culley is an 18-year-old nursing student from Billingham. She was arrested in May of 2025 in Georgia for allegedly smuggling 14kg of cannabis and hashish from Thailand. She is denying the charges, has informed the court that she believes she’s pregnant, and, if convicted, will face up to 20 years to life in prison. Charlotte May Lee is a 21-year-old former flight attendant from Coulsdon. She was also arrested in May of 2025, but in Sri Lanka for allegedly smuggling 46kg of a synthetic drug (Kush) from Thailand. She denies any knowledge of the drugs and faces up to 25 years in prison if she is convicted.
Whalley is no stranger to being arrested for drug smuggling. She’s described her arrest and the subsequent legal process as “torture,” mourning the loss of her nursing career and the travel restrictions under which she must now exist. She has emphasized that she’s thankful for having been arrested in the UK, where she was able to receive a suspended sentence. Had she been taken into custody abroad, she might have faced much more severe penalties. Her message to Bella May Culley and Charlotte May Lee is a simple one. She sees them as victims who have possibly been exploited. Still, she advises them in no uncertain terms to tell the truth, or else.
