A heavily pregnant OnlyFans model days away from giving birth has been jailed over her involvement in a shocking assault outside a popular bar.

Talia Jade Haythorpe, 23, was found to be the ringleader in the sickening attack on a tradesman after he left the Watermark Hotel in Glenelg, Adelaide in September 2021.

The victim was approached in the early hours of the morning by Haythorpe and a group of people, the District Court of South Australia heard during the model’s sentencing.

Despite the conversation being friendly, things quickly escalated after the man walked away, The Advertiser reported.

‘As the victim walked away from the conversation, he felt several blows to the back of his head and fell to the ground,’ Judge Anthony Allen said.

‘He felt excruciating pain to his right knee.’

The court heard that Haythorpe stood over the victim on the ground and kicked him in the head while she was laughing.

She then bit the man’s arm and took his wallet while the group she was with kicked and punched him before his phone and keys were stolen.

The attackers then left the scene but  Haythorpe returned shortly afterwards.

‘You approached the victim and asked for the PIN code to his phone and his bank details, before kicking him in the head once more,’ Judge Allen  told her.

‘It goes without saying that this was a completely unnecessary and unprovoked attack.’

Police found the badly injured victim lying across the road and footpath at 2.38am.

The man was rushed to Flinders Medical Centre where he underwent knee surgery.

The man described himself in his victim impact statement as having being a fit tradie before the attack, but was now unable to return to work.

‘He describes that he will never fully recover from the injuries inflicted upon him,’ Judge Allen said.

The OnlyFans model pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery.

The court was told Haythorpe had a traumatic childhood, was homeless since she was 14 and had a methamphetamine addiction.

The tradie had left the Watermark Hotel in Glenelg when he was approached by Haythorpe and a group of people. When he walked away he received punches to the back of his head

Now 38 weeks pregnant, Haythorpe's lawyer asked for a community sentence but the judge instead sentenced her to jail because the offence was serious (pictured the OnlyFans model)

‘Against that background, it is somewhat remarkable that the offending that brings you before this court is your first incursion into criminal conduct,’ Judge Allen said.

Haythorpe’s lawyer asked for a community based sentence because the model was now 38 weeks pregnant.

But Judge Allen concluded the attack was too serious and sentenced Haythorpe to two years and 11 months behind bars.

The mum-to-be was given a non-parole period of 14 months.

‘You were the ringleader of a vicious street robbery against an innocent member of the public, resulting in life-changing injuries to your victim,’ he said.

The sentence was backdated to June 25.

Haythorpe could be freed as early as August next year.
