Dakota Johnson has confessed that one of her famous costars recently gave her some unusual career advice.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actress said Pedro Pascal encouraged her to create an account on OnlyFans, the online platform where users share exclusive content — which is often sexually explicit — with paying subscribers.

“Pedro Pascal told me that I should have an OnlyFans and that I could just like wiggle my toe and make money,” Johnson revealed in a new interview with Elle UK. “Should I do that?”

It’s unclear if Johnson thinks Pascal was joking or not, but she admitted that she has almost no familiarity with OnlyFans. “I don’t know anything about that,” she said after reading a fan question regarding their boyfriend following OnlyFans models on their Instagram. “I don’t know. OnlyFans is the place where people go to watch people do weird things? Are OnlyFans models hot? Are they different to regular models?”

But the actress is curious about the platform. “I feel like I would look at OnlyFans models on Instagram if I knew how to do that,” Johnson said. “It sounds interesting. Sounds intriguing.”

While Johnson likely won’t pursue an OnlyFans career anytime soon (we imagine she’s set for money), some celebrities have embraced the platform, with Denise Richards, Cardi B, Kate Nash, and Lily Allen having all used it at one point.

Pascal and Johnson, who star together in the upcoming rom-com Materialists, recently reflected on their friendship when the Mandalorian actor interviewed the Madame Web actress for Elle. Pascal recounted the performers’ first encounter — of which Johnson had no recollection.

“It was the Golden Globes 2014,” he said. “It wasn’t during the ceremony; it was the after bit, when they usher you out and you go directly into some kind of HBO party. You knew Sarah [Paulson] and so [you] met me, and you were on your own. They probably wouldn’t give you a plus-one. So, we banded together, and we looked after you.”

Johnson was surprised that she’d forgotten about that evening. “That’s so crazy that I don’t remember meeting you there,” she said. “It feels like something substantial happened to me that night and I’m blocking it out.”

They later reconnected at a Met Gala, and Pascal admitted that he was less taken with Johnson upon their second encounter. “I loved you the first time and then I didn’t think you were that nice to me at the Met Gala,” he said. “You weren’t mean, but I was building the interaction of having already met you. And I had a moment of feeling a little stupid because it was like, ‘Oh, she doesn’t remember me.'”

Johnson blamed her behavior on her constant discomfort at the Met Gala. “I find the Met Gala is like The Twilight Zone,” she said. “I don’t know what the f— is going on. I don’t feel I connect with any human beings in a real way; it’s like going into some sort of vortex.”

The actress added that Pascal has brought this topic up before. “This is maybe the 37th time we’ve had this conversation. The 37th time Pedro makes me feel like an absolute piece of s— for not remembering him,” she said. “My first impression of you was: ‘Wow, this guy is so cool. What a nice man that I’ve definitely never met before.’ And then I loved you very quickly.”

Pascal responded, “The hurt that I felt at the Met Gala was connected to love.”
