Former Brazil and Juventus star Douglas Costa has ventured into the social media world by joining OnlyFans.

Costa, 33, also emphasised his commitment to engaging with his fans while announcing his move to OnlyFans. He explained that his account would feature exclusive content not available on other platforms.

“I decided to join OnlyFans because I believe in the company’s credibility and potential for global reach,” Costa said in a press release. “This partnership has everything to be very interesting and successful.”

He is following in the content-creating footsteps of his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently launched his own YouTube channel.

Ronaldo, who joined YouTube on August 21, has already amassed over 50 million subscribers. He expressed his desire to connect more closely with his fans as he approaches the twilight of his playing career.

Costa, who recently joined A-League side Sydney FC after stints in Europe, the United States and Brazil, is among the first soccer players to explore this new digital avenue.

He highlighted the significance of athletes becoming brand ambassadors for OnlyFans, stating, “The segment in which OnlyFans seeks to have athletes as brand ambassadors greatly impacts the market, and I am more than happy to be part of it.”
