The rapid rise of OnlyFans has been a gamechanger for a number of sportswomen, with many now raking in more money through the content creation site than in their respective fields.
With users able to sell erotic or highly-sexual images on the platform through a regular subscription fee, several female athletes have stumbled upon a windfall by getting involved, generating huge levels of cash on the side.
Creating content on OnlyFans has earned some of them millions, meaning in certain cases it has now taken priority over their sporting careers.
So which female sports stars pocket the most money from the site?
From an ex-UFC fighter to a racing driver-turned porn star, Dailymail.com takes a look at the sportswomen making a killing from OnlyFans.
Paige VanZant
Unlike others in the list, former UFC star VanZant actually has her own VIP account on the platform.
The 29-year-old, who spent six years in the UFC before being released in 2020, charges fans $9.99 per month for access to some glamorous photos as well as an insight into her training.
Incredibly, in 2022 VanZant revealed she earns more money through posting photos on her social-media platforms than she ever did in the UFC.
‘OnlyFans has definitely been my largest source of income. I would say combined, in my fighting career,’ she said on a Barstool Sports podcast.
‘I think I made more money in 24 hours on OnlyFans than I had in my entire fighting career. Combined.’
Since leaving the UFC, VanZant has taken part in two bareknuckle fighting contests, losing both via decision, while also venturing into Dana White’s controversial new PowerSlap league this year.
Renee Gracie
Former racing star Gracie, 28, has amassed an incredible 936,000 likes on OnlyFans and claimed to have surpassed the $6million mark in earnings two years ago.
That figure dwarfs anything the Australian made in her brief V8 Supercars motor career, which she was eventually banned from after uploading pornographic videos and images on the content creation site.
However, she insists leaving the sport was ‘the best decision’ she has ever made.
‘I love OnlyFans, the concept and how it changed my life,’ Gracie told The Sun last year.
Alysha Newman
Newman, a Canadian pole vault star who represented her country at the last two Olympic Games, takes home an estimated $1m per year through OnlyFans, according to Marca.
A regular subscription fee to her channel is priced at $12.99, but by stumping up the cash fans can get access to some raunchy photos.
The 29-year-old said about her involvement in the site: ‘If not now, then when?
‘If we don’t push boundaries, break barriers and expectations, we’ll do nothing but turn away from our true selves!’
Newman went viral at the Paris Olympics over the summer when she celebrated her Canadian record vault with an impromptu twerk celebration.
That moment briefly led to her site on the platform crashing afterwards, she revealed to Mail Sport, with her and her team huddling on a call with OnlyFans software employees to remedy the issue.
Madelene Wright
The English soccer player was sacked by Charlton Athletic in 2021 after she was captured inhaling nitrous oxide at a party and drinking behind the wheel of her car in a series of controversial videos.
After the scandal, Wright used her newfound fame to launch a career on OnlyFans, where she currently charges $29.99 for a 31-day subscription.
Last year it was reported that she collects around $659,000 per year through the platform, coming as quite the consolation after her soccer career fell by the wayside.
‘I was able to get my own place, I’ve been able to travel the world and I’ve enjoyed a lot of luxuries,’ she told The Sun in 2023.
Ebanie Bridges
Known as The Blonde Bomber, Bridges sparked controversy when she burst onto the boxing scene by weighing in for her fights in lingerie, creating much debate in the women’s fight game as to whether her approach was distasteful.
Nevertheless, the Australian bantamweight has ultimately garnered plenty of attention in the sport, helping her also find success on OnlyFans.
With 237,000 likes on the site, Bridges is able to earn some extra cash on the side while plying her trade in the ring by regularly uploading steamy photos for her subscribers.
She also offers footage and images from her training sessions to give fans a glimpse of what goes into a boxer’s camp.
Pearl Gonzalez
Gonzalez failed to make a success of her time in the UFC, losing each of her only two contests in the promotion against Cynthia Calvillo and Poliana Botelho.
Thankfully for the Chicago fighter, she is faring much better over on her personal OnlyFans page, where she pockets an estimated $648,000 per year.
With 180,000 likes on the site, she teases fans into shelling out on her subscription fee by saying: ‘welcome to my paradise, slide in my DM’s to see what it’s like’.
Gonzalez switched over to bareknuckle fighting and boxing after a brief stint away from MMA, before returning on two Xtreme Fighting Championships cards in April and May of this year.
Liz Cambage
An Olympic bronze medalist in 2012, Australia’s London-born basketball star Cambage currently plays in China after stepping away from the WNBA in 2022.
Yet with her salary in the sport failing to satisfy – Cambage previously claimed a coach can earn four times more than the highest-paid players – the 31-year-old turned her attention to OnlyFans back in 2022.
According to TotalSportal, her $12.99-a-month account sweeps up an eye-watering $1.6m per year for her on the platform.
‘I was so scared to actually do it,’ she recently said.
‘But I had my friends and family push me and say don’t worry what anyone says – people are either going to love you or hate you regardless.’
Lisa Buckwitz
At the end of October, the German bobsleigh star announced she has joined OnlyFans after signing a sponsorship agreement with the platform.
Buckwitz, who won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the two-woman bobsleigh event, received attention ahead of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics after featuring as a cover star for Playboy.
She had posed on the cover of the German edition of the magazine, while Austrian skeleton athlete Janine Flock also featuring.
Buckwitz has now revealed she has joined OnlyFans, but claims she will not be posing naked on the platform.
It is claimed the platform had approached her as part of a desire to help clean up its image.
‘Fans get exclusive access to content that I don’t normally share – the daily grind, the dynamics within the team, and the personal milestones that often go unseen,’ Buckwitz told BILD.
‘I will post as often as I can and share everything – from fitness and nutrition tips to competition preparation to the rituals that help me focus on competition day.
‘For me, it’s a real opportunity to show people what it means to compete at the highest level in this sport – beyond the competitive moments.
‘This platform allows me to connect with my fans on a personal level and to network with people who are genuinely interested in competitive sport and my path in it.’
