A former Real Housewives producer, Patrick McDonald, has openly criticized Bravo, claiming he was let go due to his OnlyFans account.
McDonald, who previously produced The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County, accused the network of freezing him out over the last year for creating adult content. As reported by RadarOnline.com, Patrick expressed on Substack: “I’m not an idiot. I knew there was a risk. But it’s 2025 – Housewives cast members have fan sites, so why is it different for someone behind the scenes?”
He noticed a sudden silence from production teams in Beverly Hills and Orange County, resulting in his exclusion from the program.
Before working with Bravo, Patrick produced for Shuter’s VH1 morning show The Gossip Table and was a supervising producer on Vanderpump Rules. In August 2024, he entered the adult content industry alongside his boyfriend, Logan Stevens, reports the Mirror.

Defending his choices, Patrick argued, “Sex work is real, legitimate work, and it has been since the dawn of humanity. I’m proud of what I’ve done at Bravo – and just as proud of the work I’m doing now.”
Moreover, he pointed out the perceived double standard at Bravo, highlighting the contrast between the allowance given to cast members like Larsa Pippen and Denise Richards to operate their own OnlyFans accounts and the punitive response to his career move.
Patrick’s candid TikTok confession has garnered a massive outpouring of support from his followers. One fan commented, “Patrick! You deserve your flowers,” and another chimed in with, “Here for those who stand up and educate and advocate.”
Many are applauding him for putting his personal well-being first. As one supporter put it, “Life is not a dress rehearsal. Excited to hear you’re pursuing what makes you blissfully happy!”.
In addition to opening up about his OnlyFans journey, Patrick has taken a bold stance against Bravo, criticizing the network for fostering a “toxic work culture”. He has called them out for overworking their crew and allowing “egomaniacal showrunners” to create high-pressure environments.
His allegations contribute to an expanding series of complaints regarding Bravo’s workplace practices. Earlier this year, Leah McSweeney, a former cast member of Real Housewives of New York City, filed a civil lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo, condemning their “rotten” work environment.
Eboni K. Williams, also from RHONY, has voiced her experiences with racism on set, specifically pointing to interactions with co-star Ramona Singer.
As Patrick embarks on a new professional path away from reality TV, he remains committed to advocating for his values. He shared with his fans: “I’ve given years of my life to this industry, and I have no regrets. But no one should have to choose between doing what they love and being true to themselves.”
