I’m sure by now we’ve all heard of the risqué subscription site OnlyFans (unless you’re living comfortably under a rock, in which case, no judgment). But what you might not know is just how much money people are spending on it, and which states are shelling out the most.
According to a new report from the New York Post, the states throwing down the most dough on OnlyFans aren’t necessarily the ones you’d expect.
Curious where Minnesota lands? Same. Unfortunately, the article only highlighted the top five and bottom five states, so I did a little digging on my own.
While there’s no exact number or ranking for us, based on other data, like content creators per capita, we’re probably somewhere in the middle. Which honestly tracks for us Minnesotans: quiet, polite, and apparently not as into OnlyFans as Iowa.
Because guess who cracked the top five? That’s right – Iowa!
The state spending the most? West Virginia. And honestly, that one surprised me. According to the data, folks there are dropping an average of $116,313 per year on OnlyFans per 10,000 people. That’s more than double what people in Mississippi are spending, and they came in dead last on the list.
Also hanging out at the bottom with Mississippi? Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Alaska are states with the lowest spending on the app.

As for the top spenders? West Virginia is followed by Nevada, Colorado, Illinois… and then, sitting shockingly high at number five, is Iowa.
Our humble neighbor to the south is apparently home to some very dedicated subscribers. While the study didn’t release Iowa’s exact per-capita spending figure, it was high enough to land them in the top five nationwide.
