Speaking to The Blast, Rain said that Blue’s extreme antics have shifted the platform away from its original purpose. “It’s no longer women empowerment. It’s shock value, and she’s making a joke out of all of us,” she said. “We built this space to take control of our bodies and make money on our terms, not to fake pregnancies, marriages, and throw cake at people in public.”
Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, is known for controversial content. She first went viral after claiming to sleep with 1,057 men in 12 hours. More recently, she staged a fake wedding with a fan. Then, she also posted a video of her fake arrest. One of her most criticized recent ideas was a “petting zoo” stunt where she planned to be tied up in a glass box. Speaking on Kat Baker’s podcast, she said, “I’m going to be naked and tied up in a glass box… in the centre of London,” adding that people could “do basically whatever they want to me.”
She faced a lot of criticism and backlash online, with many accusing her of promoting harmful content. OnlyFans has also since banned Blue for violating its Acceptable Use Policy. A spokesperson told The Sun UK, “Extreme ‘challenge’ content is not available on OnlyFans and is not permitted.”
Rain said that this kind of behavior makes it harder for other creators to be taken seriously. “Brands don’t take us seriously anymore. Media doesn’t take us seriously,” she said. “I’m tired of having to explain that not all of us are doing circus acts for clicks.”
