Jonny Smyth (26) and Madison Allen (19) were among the last people to see John George alive when he went to visit them in Alicante last month.

The PSNI has confirmed the involvement inclusion of the international law enforcement agency in correspondence with a solicitor acting for the family of the 37-year-old, who went missing in the Costa Blanca on December 14.

It comes as one of the suspects linked to Mr George’s disappearance made a phone call to the victim’s family, claiming the father-of-two had been shot and left somewhere between Torrevieja and Benidorm.

The call alleged that a gun was used to kill Mr George and the weapon had been taken away by one of the suspects to “clean it”.

Spanish authorities are currently investigating a number of suspects, all of whom were living in Spain at the time of Mr George’s disappearance, along with a man from the Czech Republic.

However, the two main suspects are are refusing to reveal the location of Mr George’s body and are blaming each other for the suspected murder.

In the call which was recorded and heard by the Belfast Telegraph, the suspect states: “You don’t understand how much I know this needs to come out.

“I said to (name redacted), ‘When you left the house what direction did you drive?’ He said he drove towards Torrevieja and then up, but doesn’t know the exact location.”

The person then claims that at 10pm on December 14, Mr George, who is referred to as ‘Georgie’ in the recording, left their apartment uninjured with another man.

They claim a few hours later the man arrived back at their property with a gun and confessed to shooting Mr George.

“When (name redacted) came to our house that night he said, ‘Georgie didn’t make it to Benidorm.’ We s*** ourselves.

“He was like, ‘I’ve just done that to Georgie’.”

The George family, from Twinbrook in west Belfast, were last contacted by Mr George on December 14, at which time his father Billy told him to come home.

However, Mr George did not board his flight back to Ireland on December 18.

His relatives are currently in the Spanish city searching for his body, certain that John was murdered there in mid-December.

They were recently warned their lives are in danger from the South East Antrim UDA, with John’s brother Darren saying they’re taking the threat seriously.

“We are under threat when we go home. We have already been told that,” Darren said.

“We have been told that our lives are in danger when we get home. That’s coming from him and whatever gang he is involved in. The police are aware of that. We have a police liaison officer.

“With what has happened to John I would take any threat coming from them seriously. I’m really concerned about it.”

Darren believes his brother was lured to Spain for a holiday before Christmas before he was murdered.

“Once John got here and knew he was in trouble he rang home and my dad told him to get on the next flight and get out and that was the last conversation we had with him.

“John was murdered on December 15.

“We were told before we came over that John was shot dead, by this man who is definitely connected to a group.

“He sent word back home that he had shot John and he was lying in a lemon field. The day he shot John was the 15th. Then people came out to clean up.”

It comes after it was revealed that a couple who claim they’ve received “30 death threats” over Mr George’s disappearance are adult content creators.

Jonny Smyth (26) and Madison Allen (19) were among the last people to see John George alive when he went to visit them in Alicante last month.

Ms Allen publicly denied any involvement in the disappearance of John George in a video posted on social media last week, with Mr Smyth previously telling the family he did not know his whereabouts.

Sunday Life revealed this week that the pair create explicit adult content on OnlyFans together, some of which was filmed in their Cabo Roig pad near Alicante.

Ms Allen, from Newtownabbey in north Belfast, advertises the content on social media under the name Madi Alia Allen, posting dozens of sexual images and videos.

She teases some of the content to her 1,600 followers on X, with her bio reading: “Your new fav, hot 5ft brunette content creator, click to see all my spicy content.”

Subscribers can pay to access her OnlyFans page for £15 per month, where she posts uncensored content.

Many of the adult clips feature her older boyfriend Mr Smyth, who was a close friend of John George, also known as John Hardy.

She describes herself in her bio as: “Your favourite little sweet sexy 19-year-old living in Spain.

“5ft green eyed brunette what more could you ask for… subscribe to see the naughty side of me. B/G (boy/girl) and plenty more!”

Speaking in a TikTok video last week, Ms Allen said she was “sick and tired” of all the rumours about John George’s disappearance and said that she had nothing to hide.

“I have not been hiding or fleeing. I’ve been where I am right now. I’m not far away from my house,” the 19-year-old said following a two-week break from social media.

“I’m just coming on (to social media) to clear up some rumours that I’m sick of hearing. I’m not running, I’m not fleeing.

“The police back home have advised me to stay here until it is safe. I can’t go back to Northern Ireland because my whole family is in danger – and even more so me.”

Miss Allen claims she has had “30 death threats” issued against her at home and in Spain but didn’t say who had made the threats.

“Police advised me to stay safe and while I’m here, staying safe, I have told the family every bit of information I know.

“The British police know I’m helping and I’ve got nothing to do with it.

“But right in this moment in time, no one is safe, especially me, until John is found, so I pray he’s found, I really do, so my life can go back to normal and we can get back to our dogs.

“The other rumour I want to clear up is that my dogs have not been abandoned at all. Never in my life would I do that.”

“We only moved house for our dogs,” she said, adding that the six XL Bullies she owns are with the police.

She continued: “I asked (the family) did they want me to tell the Spanish police what I told them and they said yes.

“So the Spanish police were (called) and I’m also waiting on them ringing back.

“They don’t want to meet up with me, because they know I am safe here until John is found.

“No dogs have been abandoned, no one’s fleeing the country. Hopefully John is found this week. Please say a prayer for his family.”

Ms Allen’s partner Jonny Smyth has also been in contact with John George’s family since his disappearance.

John’s sister Courtney George previously told the Belfast Telegraph: “I contacted Jonny and asked him, ‘Do you know where my brother is?

“He said, ‘No, me and him went our separate ways, I don’t know where he is, I think he went to meet boys out in Benidorm’.

“I just got a bad feeling about it and went back to Jonny who said, ‘I don’t know where he is, all he wanted to do was drink and I have a business to run’.”
