More and more men in committed relationships are forking out thousands of dollars on OnlyFans after becoming addicted to the site.

According to a damning new article in The Cut, some men are spending well into five figures on OnlyFans after developing parasocial relationships with the models and porn stars they’re subscribed to.

One woman told the publication that she discovered her boyfriend of four years was secretly subscribed to 40 different women on the app.

Another woman found out that her husband had forked out over $46,000 chatting to models on the site.

When she confronted him about one of the OnlyFans creators that he was particularly enamored with, he denied doing anything wrong.

‘He thought that they were friends and that she liked him just as much as he liked her,’ the woman said.

One man admitted that he was spending up to $600 per month to chat to women on OnlyFans, ‘just to have someone pretend to care about my day and say good morning.’

Last year, another women came forward to reveal that her husband had spent a whopping $135,000 on OnlyFans – leading her family to bankruptcy.

‘It was devastating,’ the 46-year-old, who is now divorced, told Reuters.

Outside of OnlyFans, men are also spending money on rival websites like Fansly and Chaturbate, which offer similar experiences.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, professional relationship coach and OnlyFans creator Kate Shelor said that the biggest problem today is that many men are ‘starved for connection.’

‘Calling it an “OnlyFans addiction” oversimplifies a much deeper issue. Most of the men I speak with aren’t necessarily addicted to content — they’re starved for connection’ she explained.

‘OnlyFans gives them something they don’t get in real life: attention, fantasy, and intimacy without rejection. But like any coping mechanism, it can spiral when it’s used to soothe unprocessed pain or loneliness,’ she continued.

‘It’s very complicated but I don’t think we will find an answer or a solution by shaming these men —instead I think we need to get curious about what they’re really searching for.’

Shelor also suggested implementing some ‘additional guardrails’ on subscriber-based platforms like OnlyFans.

‘While OnlyFans already has a daily limit that users can spend, I think that it might be a positive step to send out periodic messages with resources for loneliness, mental health support and social anxiety for those who are struggling,’ she said.

Sexual psychotherapist Paula Hall previously told Mail Online that she’s seen a huge boom in men addicted to pornography in the last 15 years.

Research from her Pivotal Recovery program, which helps men overcome their addiction, discovered that 90 percent admitted porn use had affected their sexual functioning and 79 percent said it increased their risk of divorce or separation.

Some of the biggest OnlyFans creators right now include porn stars Lily Phillips and Bonnie Blue, ‘Australia’s most sexually-active woman’ Annie Knight, Twitch streamer Amouranth, and social media stars Belle Delphine and Sophie Rain.

A number of legitimate celebrities have also found success on the platform, including Denise Richards, Bhad Bhabie, Larsa Pippen, and Carmen Electra.

OnlyFans sensation Bonnie, who shot to infamy after sleeping with 1,057 men in 12 hours, sparked outrage earlier this year after boasting that her group sex events were the perfect place for men to cheat on their partners.

She later dished out advice for the best ways that husbands can cheat on their wives.

‘So when you’re cheating on your wife, remember to still sleep with your wife occasionally,’ she said in a TikTok video posted in January.

‘I know that is difficult… but if you stop the bedroom activities she’s going to think something is happening,’ she added.
