Trisha Paytas is taking a hard look back at her years in adult entertainment, and she isn’t holding back. According to Us Weekly‘s Miranda Siwak, the 38-year-old influencer said on the October 28 episode of Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast that she now feels “disgusted” when she thinks about her past stripping and OnlyFans work.

From stripping to subscriptions

Paytas told Shetty she stripped for “four to five years,” then started on OnlyFans “when OnlyFans came back again” and stayed for a few years. Us Weekly reports that she posted explicit content on the platform from 2020 to 2023.

She had already signaled a change back in 2023. In a post on X at the time, she said she still had an OnlyFans account but that it was “just nudes,” adding that she no longer sold most of her explicit material because her views had shifted since becoming a mom.

The conversation that hit hard

As Parade‘s Gabriela Silva writes, Paytas said her regrets grew sharper after a talk about “body counts” left her feeling judged. She described a trusted friend asking for her number, and said that when she answered “thousands,” the friend was shocked, and so was she.

“I think I really just have low value in myself that I was taking any dollar amount to touch my body,” she said.

Paytas added that as she became “more spiritual,” she noticed the work changing her. “I used to be so happy-go-lucky, and the more I was doing that kind of work, the more negative I became. I hated it,” she said.

No judgment for other creators

Even with her own regrets, Paytas made a point of not criticizing people who are still in the business. “I don’t want to judge other people because you have to do what you have to do,” she said, explaining that she did it “out of desperation” and for money.

She also admitted the feelings have been weighing on her lately, saying she has trouble sleeping and that it has been “a little haunting.” Her hope, she said, is that her story reaches someone who is weighing the same choice: “If I help one person make the decision not to do what I did back then and [show] that there’s other ways, then it’s worth it.”

The takeaway

Paytas is one of the biggest names to openly walk back an OnlyFans career, and her comments land at a moment when more celebrities than ever are signing up. Her story is a reminder that the money is only one part of the math. For creators thinking about the platform, how the work feels years later can matter just as much as what it pays today.
