Twitch streamer Sketch, real name Kylie Cox, confirmed in a Monday livestream that the years-old videos that appeared to show him engaging in sexual acts with other men were actually him. The videos were originally uploaded to OnlyFans, and surfaced on Sunday through a YouTube account named Pocketbook.

The Texas-based streamer boasts over 1 million followers on Twitch. He addressed the leaked footage during his livestream. He confirmed that the videos were real and that they dated back to two years ago. He described the period as a “dark time” in his life, marred by addiction issues. The YouTube video wastitled “The Real Sketch: The Untold Story of Jamie Mar.” It shared screenshots from the OnlyFans account and also delved into Cox’s past as a gay adult content creator.

The video, about 17 minutes long, saw Pocketbook justifying the outing by stating, “being LGBTQ+ is not a career ender.” However, many took to social media to criticize the video for outing Cox without his consent.

During the livestream, Cox shared that he had been living with the fear of this information becoming public for two years. He noted the emotional toll it took on him, and also credited his friends and family for their support. “If I had been alone while these videos leaked, I probably wouldn’t be talking,” Cox said.

Throughout the video, despite the gravity of the situation, COx maintained his usual sense of humor by making jokes. He tackled the situation with a light-hearted remark, “I got a haircut,” before acknowledging the videos. He also joked that he “did not have sexual relations with that man… I’m just kidding, I did, possibly.”

In regards to the outing, several fans and fellow streamers showed their support for Cox. FaZe Banks, CEO of FaZe Clan, shared texts exchanged with Cox. He can be seen offering emotional support and assistance. “Sketch was my homie yesterday, he’s my homie today, he’ll be my homie tomorrow,” Banks posted on X, garnering over 35 million views.

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner praised the way Cox handled the situation, while gaming streamer Co1azo and Barstool podcast host Dan Katz expressed their support on social media. Kai Cenat, a notable streamer, criticized online bullies, questioning why people felt the need to target Cox over his past.

In the midst of the overwhelming support, some members of the gaming and streaming communities ridiculed Cox. Streamer Sneako accused Cox of “lying about his life.” However, his statement was quickly condemned by others, such as Twitch streamer Corinna Kopf and Hasan Piker. The latter noted that Cox’s actions did not harm anyone and criticized those who made him feel unwelcome.

In light of the controversy, Cox announced he would take a brief break from streaming. He does have plans to return as early as Wednesday, however.
