Megan Fox has company. According to Just Jared, Italian actor Michele Morrone, best known for the 365 Days films and The Housemaid, has joined the subscription platform Subs.com as both a content creator and a part-owner of the company.
A creator and a shareholder
The move was announced in a company press release on PR Newswire on Oct. 29, which pitched it as the next step after Fox’s own launch. “Subs.com gives me the freedom to connect with my fans in a way that’s real, personal, and completely mine,” Morrone said in the release. “And becoming an owner makes this much bigger than just launching a page.”
Subs.com founder Tim Stokely, who co-founded OnlyFans, called Morrone “exactly the kind of global star we want building the future of Subs.com,” adding that “he’s not just joining the platform — he’s becoming an owner.” According to Fashion Times UK‘s Christa Marmita, the announcement doesn’t disclose the size of his stake, its financial terms, or whether it comes with voting rights or a management role.
What fans are paying for
According to Daily Mail‘s J. Peterson, the 36-year-old is charging $19.99 a month for his page, with select pay-per-view posts priced between $5 and $35 on top of that. In his Instagram announcement, Morrone promised a “more personal, more authentic side” and teased the chance to “have a LIVE VIDEO CALL WITH ME,” which Fashion Times UK reads as an opportunity for some subscribers rather than a guarantee for all of them.
Morrone also called himself and Fox “co-founders” in his caption, Fashion Times UK notes, while the company’s own announcement uses the term “part-owner.”
A growing celebrity roster
Fox became a co-owner of Subs.com earlier this month. The Daily Mail reports her page now costs $14.99 a month, down from a $19.99 launch price, and that other celebrity creators on the site include Geordie Shore‘s Chloe Ferry, Australian actress Carla Bonner and Selling Sunset‘s Amanza Smith.
The takeaway
Subs.com’s pitch to famous names isn’t just a page, it’s a piece of the business. Offering equity is a clear way to stand out against OnlyFans, and two big-name owners in one month suggests Stokely’s new platform is betting that stars will bring their fan bases wherever they get a seat at the table.
