OnlyFans just signed a Paralympian, and there’s nothing on her page you couldn’t show your grandmother. According to NJ.com‘s Steve Politi, Team USA para-athlete Catarina Guimaraes is getting $25,000 for the year from OnlyFans to post photos and videos on the platform, money she says helps cover training and medical bills on the road to the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
OnlyFans came to her
Guimaraes, 22, is a Cranford, New Jersey, native who competed as a runner and long jumper at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, where she finished eighth in the long jump. She has cerebral palsy, and her bills include medical expenses tied to the condition. When OnlyFans reached out with the offer, she said yes.
“They basically offered to compensate me for posts on their platform and on my platform about them to bring a more wholesome view of their page,” Guimaraes told NJ.com. “It isn’t anything racy, unless you want to count a video of me doing power cleans in a sports bra and shorts as racy.”
What $10 gets you
For $10, fans on her page can watch her sing songs from Hamilton, do pull-ups in the gym, drink a protein shake, and even make a short confession in her car that she is “realizing that life is a lot.” The page is 100% safe for work, and she plans to keep it that way.
According to We Are Healthy, the deal is a one-year business contract to produce non-adult content, and she’s using the money to support her ongoing athletic training while she works on a master’s degree in kinesiology.
She’s not alone on the sports side of the site. OnlyFans has a roster of about 285 athletes on its sports hub, and a spokesperson told NJ.com the platform “loves working with athlete creators who are excited about using the platform to connect with their audience while building a new revenue stream through their content.”
The $15,000 offer she turned down
Some athletes run a safe-for-work page that funnels fans to a VIP page with nude content. Guimaraes says she won’t go there, even after someone offered her $15,000 for a “sexy video call,” an offer that left her “baffled” and “flabbergasted.”
“All my teammates were like, ‘You should totally take him up on it,'” she said. “I was like, ‘Nooooo, that is not what I’m about.’ But it was crazy. I did not realize people would offer that much money for that stuff.”
Instagram isn’t paying her
Her OnlyFans deal grew out of the social media brand she built as an advocate for young women in sports. “I really love the idea that you can be feminine and powerful and strong at the same time,” she said.
The OnlyFans connection has a cost, though. NJ.com reports that Instagram has limited the reach of her once-viral posts, saying the association with OnlyFans “violates community standards.” Instagram, as the piece points out, isn’t paying her a dime.
Her father, John Guimaraes, put the goal simply: “The idea behind this is to reduce her financial strain. When she wakes up, she shouldn’t be thinking, ‘Do I have enough gas money to get to the training center?’ It should be her training.”
She now lives in Chula Vista, California, where she’s preparing for the IFCPF Cerebral Palsy World Cup this month and keeping her eye on LA 2028.
The takeaway
OnlyFans paying a Paralympian to post gym clips and show tunes is a clear sign the company wants a cleaner public image, and athletes are the easiest way to get one. For Guimaraes, it’s straightforward: OnlyFans is paying her bills while other platforms bury her posts for being linked to it. With training and medical costs piling up for athletes like her, don’t be surprised if more of them take the same deal.
